Your Questions About Internet Marketing Services

William asks…

Cheap Internet Service?

I am looking for a cheap internet connection. I have a laptop, but no availability to a phone line. My family is struggling with money right now and I cannot afford much more than $20 a month. If I could find something cheaper, that would be great. Does anyone have any ideas?

By the way, I’ve already browsed a little bit on search engines and I’m really hoping someone knows something that I don’t. In a free market society I would assume that, despite the obvious oligopoly problem, I would be able to find something affordable somewhere. Please help. Thank you.

Nancy asks…

How does the internet improve marketing?

I need Webiste Reference too..
Thanks..

barry0912 answers:

The internet has made marketing inexpensive when examining the ratio of cost to the reach of the target audience. Companies can reach a wide audience for a small fraction of traditional advertising budgets. The nature of the medium allows consumers to research and to purchase products and services conveniently.

Therefore, businesses have the advantage of appealing to consumers in a medium that can bring results quickly. The strategy and overall effectiveness of marketing campaigns depend on business goals and cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis.

Your Questions About Internet Marketing News

Sharon asks…

Google Chrome, Opera, Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox?

Which is safer? Which is more secure? Which is the popular browser? Which one is shown on the news sometimes when something happens to the internet worldwide?

barry0912 answers:

Internet Explorer is the least safest/secure
http://www.webdevout.net/browser-security#graphs

Internet Explorer is the most popular (the irony)

Being that IE is the most popular, it is usually in the news the most, however I do notice FF in the news quite a bit as well.

Wii Internet

Online gaming is a market that no video game company wants to miss, and Nintendo is no exception. With that in mind, Nintendo not only designed the Wii to let players compete against each other online, but it also added an entirely different aspect of the Internet to its newest system-browsing. Once the Wii has been hooked up to the Internet, either wirelessly or with an Ethernet cable, you can purchase Wii Internet for $5. The full version of the Internet Channel, which is a version of the Opera 9 Web browser, was launched in April of 2007 and it allows Wii owners to surf the Web in a unique fashion. The font is much larger than it is on a computer, so it is a lot easier to see from the comfort of your couch. You can also zoom in and out and scroll up, down and sideways using the Wii remote.
The Wii Internet Channel takes only a few seconds to launch, mostly because it stays connected to the Internet even when it is powered off. The software is saved on the 512 MB Wii internal flash memory. The software can also be transferred to an SD card after you download it, although temporary Internet files will remain on the internal memory. The Opera-based browser can support a host of Web 2.0 technologies and applications including:
CSS
JavaScript
Ajax
RSS
Adobe Flash 7
Widgets
The biggest gripe about the Wii Internet Channel is that the browser does not support Adobe Flash 8 or 9. According to Opera, the reason that the browser does not support the later versions of Flash is that a software development kit is not yet available for either version. Because Opera utilizes an older version of Flash, problems may arise while you are trying to view certain Flash videos. Aside from the problems on the user’s side, Nintendo is also having a bit of trouble with the Wii Internet Channel. Apparently, hackers have found a loophole in the system that allows them to run their own code on the Wii console. The loophole is in the Flash Player embedded within the browser and could allow hackers to create video game emulators. That sounds like a great loophole, right? Not if you’re Nintendo. One of their potential moneymakers is the Virtual Console, which charges gamers between $5 and $10 for unlimited access to a retro title.

The Wii can use an Internet connection in more ways than just browsing. There are also free applications such as Wii’s News and Forecast Channels. The News Channel provides you with a view of the globe, which allows you to view news by region if you wish. The Forecast Channel also gives you a view of the globe, but this view also shows current weather systems around the world. If you zoom out far enough, you can see an accurate star map in the background. Since you register your Wii’s locations, it also knows what you’re looking for in the way of a local forecast.

Wii Accessories
The Nintendo Wii, like every other video game console, has some controller variations and other accessories available for serious gamers. Some of the accessories are very useful, while others merely add to the aesthetic value. Some examples of Wii accessories that fall into the “looks good, but not very useful” category are the plastic attachments for the Wii remote that make it look like a tennis racket, golf club or baseball bat. Nothing about the Wii or the game you’re playing changes — the attachments just transform your Wii remote into a prop. There are also boxing gloves that can house the Wii remote and Nunchuck. Just like the plastic attachments, these gloves don’t change anything about the game, except for the fact that you don’t actually have to hold onto the controllers.

It doesn’t have to be too complicated. I just don’t want my Myspace friends know where I am and my IP address.

James asks…

If someone is using an open WiFi connection that doesn’t belong to them, will he be surfing anonymous?

For example if Mc Donald’s WiFi is used, university WiFi, or other free, open WiFi spots. Will he give up any other information than his location, and the web pages and information that is entered while surfing? Will a laptop or mobile leave any kind of footprint?

barry0912 answers:

It all depends on what the wifi is logging.. If in order to log into your “open” wifi connection at school you need to log in, then you could be being logged.. If it is just a random wifi that someone forgot to put a password on, usually the only thing you are leaving is your MAC address that will usually expire in 30 days.. If it is a wifi that is trying to log everything you are doing, it can obviously get your location, your MAC address, EVERYTHING you send on the network, including all your sites, passwords, etc.. It can even send you fake sites.. You could be thinking that you are looking at facebook and you put in your password and username, but the wifi actually is just pretending to be a faebook site in which case you are just giving away your login credentials….

What i would do is this..
Make sure you change your MAC address, have a software firewall installed, use encrypted connections..

For the MAC address, you can use something like TMAC

for the firewall, you can use your windows firewall assuming you are using windows..

For the encryption, use an encrypted proxy of some sort.. I just have a proxy server at home that i always connect in which case i know i can trust it…

Additional things you can do.. The wifi you are connected to can easily identify your OS that you are using by looking at the packets you are sending.. Each OS usually sends slightly different packets that can be used to identify your OS… So if you care enough that you dont want the Wifi to find out what OS you are using, you can use a “OS Obfuscator” that will make your computer look like a linux or a mac or a windows.. Or a mixture that will just confuse them..

Daniel asks…

Is it a downgrade for me to go from an HP Pavilion dv6000 to an iPad?

My parents got me an iPad for my birthday, but the catch is that I have to give them the HP Pavilion dv6000 that I’ve been using. This is my first Apple product (aside from my 3rd gen iPod nano), and I’ve only used it for an hour or so, but it seems to be pretty lacking. First off, I’m a Google Chrome girl so the first thing I tried to do was download it, which didn’t work. Then I tried to load a TV show on Megavideo… which didn’t work. Then I tried Putlocker, Sockshare, Vidbux, Divx, even just a short clip on lolsnaps, and none of them worked. Now, the only things I really even use my computer(s) for are Youtube, Wikipedia, a few comedy and art websites, online shopping, facebook and commercial-free TV. Considering that the TV portion of that makes up a good 75-80% of my internet usage, I’m a little ticked that video hosting sites aren’t working. At first I thought my problems were because I needed some sort of app or something, so googled it and it said that Flash and Chrome aren’t supported on the iPad. So not only is there that, but because the wifi at my house is pretty slow, I usually load multiple videos at a time so that I can watch TV, movies, stand up, or whatever uninterrupted, but friggin’ Safari reloads my tabs every time I leave a page. Can someone PLEASE help me. Thank you.

PS: My HP runs on Vista.

barry0912 answers:

It is a huge downgrade its not even comparable 1. Ipads don’t have flash which means you cant do half the stuff on the web like watch movies 2. Your computer has proccesing power its meant to be used for videos and games. 3. Ipads are just a big ipod touch you cant really do anything bit play games and listen to music there isn’t any productivity use for them. 4. Get your computer back it way more useful. 5. If you want something still like your ipad get an iphone 4 or an ipod touch they are basically the same things and are a lot cheaper and in my opinion alot more fun to use.

barry0912 answers:

My three favorite sites are as follows and in order
1. Watchseries.eu
2. Tv-links.eu
3. One-tvshows.eu

Europe sites are far superior. Each of these sites will give you multiple links for shows.
My favorite links are gorillavid (fast and reliable) putlocker(not as fast but reliable) and allmyvideos(great but time limit like the now closed megavideo)
