Internet Marketing – Mentoring Programs?

Can anyone suggest a Internet marketing one on one mentoring program that dosn’t cost the earth.

barry0912 answers:

I suggest The 30 Day Challenge. This isn’t a one on one program, but it’s completely free. You just need to sign in at http://www.thirtydaychallenge.com/
and a guy called Ed Dale will send you a member’s link. From then on it’s completely free access to a lot of free material with no sales agenda. Don’t worry that you missed the event, I followed the videos on my own time and did great!
Good Luck,
Tali
For more information, I reviewed this program on my blog at http://marketerreview.wordpress.com/2007/09/12/the-30-day-challenge-selfless-giving-exists-in-the-internet-marketing-world/

Your Questions About Internet Marketing Company

Ruth asks…

What is a recommended Internet marketing firm in South Florida?

I’ve owned my own hearing aid business in South Florida for many years. As my clientele is getting younger and more computer-savvy, I now have a website that I want to rank well in the search engines for hearing aid-related terms. I am seeking a reputable company in the South Florida area with a proven track record for this sort of thing. What marketing firm(s) are recommended in Broward?

barry0912 answers:

Like any other industry, look for reputation. BBEX, for example, is a Boca Raton marketing company that is really effective at boosting organic rankings. They use ethical SEO (search engine optimization) practices.

Check out their testimonials page to see a list of satisfied customers: http://bbexmarketing.com/testimonials.html.

And check out their Facebook page with Cool Videos and frequent informative updates and they also have many online followers:

Chris asks…

how is internet marketing a key part of the overall marketing effort?

can someone please help me

barry0912 answers:

Its no surprise to know that the internet has become the biggest media for advertising revenue.

So internet marketing should be the number 1 priority

Look at the statistics on this page, which shows a report from 2007 with Google and other internet advertising making huge gains in advertising revenue against some TV companies losing market share.

“When it comes to market share gains in advertising dollars, Google outstripped every other media company in 2007, whether you look at the Web, TV, print, or radio”

George asks…

Are all internet marketing products a lie?

So many internet marketers are selling all kinds of products all around: ebooks, pdfs, various tool software. If they have a system that is working why do they need to sell anything to teach others how to use the same system? Wouldn’t the system they have found be best kept secret and keep bringing them money instead of sharing it with others?
Like this one person which has big reputation and keeps creating pdf books for sale every 2 months, if not every single month. When is the time when this person actually does some IM work?
To me it looks more and more that almost everything for sale from IM gurus, like 95%, is just A LIE.
What are your opinions and experiences?

barry0912 answers:

Of course not all internet marketing products are a lie.
Otherwise all marketing would be a lie, etc.
These days people are used to products reaching out TO them, not them going out into the world and seeking the products out.
So, there are many ways to market thing via different channels, in different markets and it’s OK.
Helps companies make money.
At the same time, there are people whose primary focus is NOT to market a product to the people who’d be interested in it (which’s be a win-win situation), but to simply MAKE MONEY ONLNE – that’s their end goal.

How can you tell the 2 types apart? The first type are the people who have experiences working for a company or a brand, or many brands and doing marketing for them. Then a time comes for them to give back to the community, so they share their experiences, shortcuts, etc. With others.

While the #makemoneyonline scammers are normally recognized by their signature unrealistic promises of the hoards of money they will teach you how to make. They also make videos while sitting on a leather couch at some expensive mansion by the waterfront with a few dogs in the background, etc. And they never teach you how to make your customers happy. They teach you how to make YOU happy and rich. That’s their main difference.

Your Questions About Internet Marketing Strategies

Steven asks…

What kind of marketing strategy that apple follow to market their iPod and iPhone???

This question is always in my head and I need an answer. I really consider them the smartest company ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

barry0912 answers:

The marketing strategy behind the ipod and iphone is ease of use, you can simply see and touch, and the all in one features, you don’t need anything else.. Your phone, pager, music, videos, are all in one. And you can access the Internet from it also. They have lots of memory so you won’t run out.. Most mp3’s etc have limited memory, they also target the young adults
although the 2nd answer has good points there are a few things that go against normal marketing methods, yes it’s people that sell things, but if the product is bad, no person can sell it. Products do sell themselves if they are marketed right. Ipod does not use a person to sell but the product instead. And being the first to market something is often the key to the products success. Being 1st and unique is easier than being 2nd and trying to compete with the first product. And people don’t buy products simply because they are surprised, they buy for different reasons, need, desire, price, are all considerations. The 2nd answerer lists selling techniques for salespeople not marketing methods for manufacturers

Chris asks…

define marketing?

barry0912 answers:

If your definition of “marketing” embraces Internet “marketing,” then read the following strategy.

You may want to consider some simple algorithms which, when observed and committed in designing of a website with placement of various critical metatags that can surely achieve a high search engine presence and increase Internet traffic to your website. These metatag strategies work well with published webpages at Google and Yahoo.

Design: Should you create an extensive Flash-based website, make sure to fill-in the property entries such as the Title, Description and Keywords. Failing to do so, leaves no hard HTML or ALT resource that can be readily indexed by search robots.

A non-Flash-based website which relies on hard text, is far easier to be indexed by search robots. Limit the use of stylized text saved as .gifs since as a graphic, they are not indexable by search robots.

Avoid use of frames since any number of search robots are unable to properly classify textual material.

Placement of Metatags:

A ranking or search order does take place with Google and Yahoo and it begins with the “Title” metag which should consist of no more than 65 characters separated by commas. The “Title” should describe in generic terms, the goods and services, followed by a location from which the resource is located, i.e., city, state. The placement of a domain name which is not generic within the “Title” is not appropriate, unless your domain name is a major recognizable brand name.

The second metatag is the “Description” which is usually 25-30 words to form a complete sentence which best describes one’s goods and services.

And the very last category – “Keywords” are also somewhat limited to 15-16 words which can be plural and compound in nature. Again, avoid multiple entries which could be mistaken as “spamdexed entries” which is defined as the loading, and submission of repetitive words into a particular metatag category. “Spamdexing” when discovered on a webpage and reported to Google’s spamreport.com can result in the elimination of your website from their search directory.

Here’s an example of a very highly-placed website on Yahoo.com: Begin with the search query “pizza downtown los angeles.” It will bring up some 1.4 million+ websites as results. Check out where “Pizza Next Door” is ranked. It’s in the Top Five! Again, Pizza Next Door’s high web presence was achieved by proper web design and placement of relevant metatags according to Yahoo’s publication guidelines.

Good luck!

Your Questions About Internet Marketing Degree

Carol asks…

Web marketing?

Are there degrees/courses available in web marketing? And are they worthwhile? By web marketing i mean Search Engine Optimization and such..

barry0912 answers:

There are many SEO companies that offer training programs. In addition, some universities and institutions offer certificates in Internet Marketing or Internet Programming. However, the principles behind Business Management and Marketing are similar to Internet Marketing. That said, a conventional marketer cannot be successful in internet marketing without extensive knowledge and research of the ‘net.

So I would recommend you to visit seomoz.org, and other similar SEO blogs and websites, and read all of their articles, read their blogs, take their quizzes and tutorials. At the same time, a certificate in Internet Marketing or a Bachelor’s in Business is helpful to make you successful – but many successful Search Engine Optimizers and Marketers did not have any of these credentials, they learned from real life experience.

I did a certificate in Internet Programming and I won’t say it wasn’t worth it, but it was very expensive and in hindsight I shouldn’t have spent that much money on it. Be very careful of fraud schools like CDI.

seo Internet marketing?

do you know a real good seo company.

I know that tradimax are great http://www.tradimax.com

do you know others?

barry0912 answers:

What niche are you in?

If it’s highly competitive, you will need a SEO Company that specializes in delivering top results by using a variety of techniques to gain your web site “Aunthoirty”.

Google is only recognizing web sites that have “Auhtority”.

To achieve this “Authority” you will need to develop tons of good content, continue to change it on a regualr basis.

Create hundreds of one-way in-bound links pointing to your web site. Be sure to get “Authority” sites to link to you, qulaity does matter, but quantity can be best if you have enough links pointing to you.

Use Web 2.0 to make your web site more visible. Google loves Web 2.0 and haa given “Authority” to these types of web sites, such as video, social networking web sites (You Tube, My Space, Facebook, etc), blogging and social bookmarking web sites ( del.icio.us, Furl, Stumbleupon, Digg, etc). Google loves new cutting edge technology and they love video and social networking web sites. Google gives these web sites tremendous “Authority”. If there are links from your content to your web site from these “Auhtority” web sites, they will help you rise in the search eninge rankings.
