Michael asks…

wii internet accessories?

where do i buy wii internet accessories in INDIA,like nintenodo wifi usb connector etc……any good shopping website in INDIA thats has it … then please let me know……

barry0912 answers:

Wii Internet

Online gaming is a market that no video game company wants to miss, and Nintendo is no exception. With that in mind, Nintendo not only designed the Wii to let players compete against each other online, but it also added an entirely different aspect of the Internet to its newest system-browsing. Once the Wii has been hooked up to the Internet, either wirelessly or with an Ethernet cable, you can purchase Wii Internet for $5. The full version of the Internet Channel, which is a version of the Opera 9 Web browser, was launched in April of 2007 and it allows Wii owners to surf the Web in a unique fashion. The font is much larger than it is on a computer, so it is a lot easier to see from the comfort of your couch. You can also zoom in and out and scroll up, down and sideways using the Wii remote.
The Wii Internet Channel takes only a few seconds to launch, mostly because it stays connected to the Internet even when it is powered off. The software is saved on the 512 MB Wii internal flash memory. The software can also be transferred to an SD card after you download it, although temporary Internet files will remain on the internal memory. The Opera-based browser can support a host of Web 2.0 technologies and applications including:
CSS
JavaScript
Ajax
RSS
Adobe Flash 7
Widgets
The biggest gripe about the Wii Internet Channel is that the browser does not support Adobe Flash 8 or 9. According to Opera, the reason that the browser does not support the later versions of Flash is that a software development kit is not yet available for either version. Because Opera utilizes an older version of Flash, problems may arise while you are trying to view certain Flash videos. Aside from the problems on the user’s side, Nintendo is also having a bit of trouble with the Wii Internet Channel. Apparently, hackers have found a loophole in the system that allows them to run their own code on the Wii console. The loophole is in the Flash Player embedded within the browser and could allow hackers to create video game emulators. That sounds like a great loophole, right? Not if you’re Nintendo. One of their potential moneymakers is the Virtual Console, which charges gamers between $5 and $10 for unlimited access to a retro title.

The Wii can use an Internet connection in more ways than just browsing. There are also free applications such as Wii’s News and Forecast Channels. The News Channel provides you with a view of the globe, which allows you to view news by region if you wish. The Forecast Channel also gives you a view of the globe, but this view also shows current weather systems around the world. If you zoom out far enough, you can see an accurate star map in the background. Since you register your Wii’s locations, it also knows what you’re looking for in the way of a local forecast.

Wii Accessories
The Nintendo Wii, like every other video game console, has some controller variations and other accessories available for serious gamers. Some of the accessories are very useful, while others merely add to the aesthetic value. Some examples of Wii accessories that fall into the “looks good, but not very useful” category are the plastic attachments for the Wii remote that make it look like a tennis racket, golf club or baseball bat. Nothing about the Wii or the game you’re playing changes — the attachments just transform your Wii remote into a prop. There are also boxing gloves that can house the Wii remote and Nunchuck. Just like the plastic attachments, these gloves don’t change anything about the game, except for the fact that you don’t actually have to hold onto the controllers.

Your Questions About Internet Marketing Services

Michael asks…

isp(internet service provider)?

can u tell me some isp providers? can you tell me the company name? does it need to interfere with the telephone line to acess the internet? how do u pay for it? and what about the tellephone number?can u tell me it pleez? what is the web adress? do i need to buy something extra(ie router)? what modem does it need what are the speeds this isp(kbps etc.)? and finally, how do i get that isp or wat do i need to download? sorry for the trouble the question with the most stuff will be picked the best answer thanks(^_^) ; }

barry0912 answers:

Cable broadband Internet service.
In large subscriber surveys, Cox receives the highest scores for performance, customer service and reliability among cable broadband ISPs. A cable modem is included for free if you install it yourself. Download speeds top out at 4.0Mbps compared to dial-up (50Kbps) and DSL (generally 1.5Mbps or 3.0Mbps). Subscribers to other Cox services can get a discount of $10 to $15 per month. Cox isn’t available in all markets; in that case, Earthlink cable also gets high scores.
• Earthlink cable
(*est. $42 per month)

>> Where to buy
Cable broadband ISP.
Earthlink ties with Cox as the best cable ISP, and is the best choice if Cox isn’t available in your area. Earthlink also gets high scores for overall customer satisfaction and reliability, though its technical support ratings have slipped in the last year. Earthlink includes a highly regarded spam filter, along with other security features. Speed is rated at 5.0Mbps, and a modem is free with self-installation. If neither Cox nor Earthlink is available in your area, Road Runner and Optimum Online cable services are close runners-up.
• SBC Yahoo DSL Pro
(*est. $22 for the first six months, $35 thereafter)

>> Where to buy
DSL Internet service.
Reviews say cable Internet service is faster than DSL, but DSL is usually less expensive. DSL is also available in several speed classes, so you can choose to sacrifice some speed for a lower monthly bill. Among DSL service providers, SBC Yahoo and Verizon get the highest ratings for reliability and overall customer satisfaction. Yahoo’s standard DSL gets up to 3.0Mbps downstream — comparable to most cable ISPs — yet Yahoo DSL costs less. Availability depends upon your local phone-service provider, since DSL works through existing phone lines. (SBC will soon change its name to AT&T as it completes a merger with that company.)
• Verizon basic DSL
(*est. $15 per month, 768Kbps download speed)

>> Where to buy
Budget DSL.
While most cable and DSL services reach download speeds of 3.0Mbps, Verizon’s new budget DSL has a maximum downstream speed of just 768Kbps. While much slower than other broadband, basic Verizon DSL service is still 15 times faster than a dial-up connection. And because it is DSL, your connection to the Internet is always on and it doesn’t tie up your phone line. While reviews say Verizon’s basic DSL service is nowhere near as fast as other broadband, its low cost makes it a compelling alternative to a slower dial-up ISP like AOL or Earthlink dial-up, both of which are more expensive.
• Earthlink dial-up
(*est. $22 per month)

>> Where to buy
Dial-up.
Earthlink tops nearly every review we found for dial-up Internet service, and it’s available just about everywhere. Reviews say Earthlink dial-up is easy to set up, has thousands of access numbers, and has a low call and Web-page failure rate. Its cost is average for an unlimited dial-up ISP, but if Verizon’s basic DSL is available in your area, Verizon is faster and less expensive.
• NetZero or Juno dial-up
(Up to 10 hours of free usage per month)

>> Where to buy
Free Dial-up.
If your needs amount to occasionally checking your e-mail or a little Web surfing, NetZero and Juno (which are owned by the same parent company) offer a free dial-up Internet connection for up to ten hours each month. In exchange for a free ISP, you’ll have to contend with permanent advertising on your computer screen. Once your ten hours are up, you’ll be charged about $10 a month for ad-free access.

Your Questions About Internet Marketing Services

Sandy asks…

Different internet service?

I have AT&T DSL internet service. I live in a household of three. Two with laptops, and me with my desktop and PS3. I am sick of this internet service!!! Every time even one person starts surfing the web, my computer starts running so slow!!! The internet starts going in and out of service at the most random times. And I usually have to wait until late night in the AM when everyone else is sleeping just to get a HALF decent connection. Whenever I want to play my PS3 I can’t because of the others are on their devices and it causes so much lag to the point where I eventually get signed out of the network and I can’t even connect back to the servers. I would LOVE to switch back to Comcast (even though the customer support sucks! it would definitely be worth it over my current service provider) but I live in an apartment building that is under contract with DirectTV (which also sucks) so there is no other possible way to get Comcast because we would need to have a cable connection by Comcast even if we didn’t want cable tv itself. So pretty much we can only get Comcast unless we move, which is out of the question! So are there any other internet service providers that do not need a cable connection that are faster and more reliable than AT&T??? Or can anyone please tell me what I can do to make my internet connection faster on my PS3 at least? Thanks in advance guys!
Also, my desktop and PS3 are on wired connections. And the two laptops are obviously wireless. See the problem here? lol

barry0912 answers:

DSL is usually the cheapest broadband option, albeit the slowest.

DSL – DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) is a form of broadband Internet that is transmitted over standard twisted pair copper telephone lines. DSL speeds range from 256 Kbps to 6 Mbps depending on distance from the telephone company and plan that you purchase. Http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Subscriber_Line

Standard DSL is rapidly being replaced by newer, faster technologies. DOCSIS 3.0 cable Internet has speeds up to a blazing 305 Mbps in certain areas. Fiber optic ADSL2+ and VDSL products are offered in excess of 100 Mbps.

Google and Time Warner even have 1 Gbps fiber being installed, that’s a whopping 1000 Mbps. Http://isp1.us/blog/time-warner-brings-1-gbps-fiber-links-to-new-york/

As far as wireless service go, There are some fast 4 G wireless services available. However you’ll not want wireless for your application for two reasons.

1.) Fair Usage Limits.

Most Internet providers impose limits on the amount of data you can download before they charge you overage fees or throttle your Internet speed to a crawl.

“Unlimited Internet” is a term often used to market Internet services.

Very seldom does it actually mean unlimited. What the providers do is add what is known as a “Fair Usage Policy” you’ll find it in the small print of the contracts. The effect is that you are either throttled to a crawl or charged extra for monthly bandwidth that exceeds the providers predetermined limit.

The worst are the cellular mobile broadband providers with under 5 GB per month, Satellite Internet is a close second with some providers throttling after 200 MB per day. Most cable and DSL providers allow 100-250 GB per month.

That being said, currently cable providers have the most liberal limits. However if you consistently download in excess of 250 GB per month you risk being canceled. Read this post for more info. Http://isp1.us/blog/comcast-usage-caps-ruining-families/

At&t DSL caps at 150 GB per month and I believe Comcast is 250 GB

2.) Latency (Ping Time)

Online gaming lag is usually caused by two things, latency and upload speed.

You can check these on a speed testing site. Http://speedtest.net

Latency is the delay (ping time) in milliseconds that it takes the signal to travel to the server and back. The lower the number the better, but you’ll definitely want a ping time of under 150 ms or you’ll have major problems.

Upload speed also plays a factor in updating your player position data to the gaming server. Slow upload speeds can cause your online game to lag. The faster the better, but at least 0.5 Mbps would be my minimum recommendation.

Another factor that comes into play is if you are using a wired (Ethernet) or wireless connection to your PC or gaming console.

Unfortunately any network without cables will have latency issues. This includes wireless mobile broadband and satellite systems, but also can be caused by wireless router connections.

By nature, interference in wireless systems causes problems with smooth, consistent speeds.

A lot will depend on what Internet providers are available in your specific area and what levels of service they offer in that location.

To compare your local competitors, go to a ISP comparison site that lets you input your address, http://isp1.us/find/ and compare the pricing and terms of the offers that are available in your area.

The physical address is needed because some services, particularly DSL, are very distance sensitive. For example you might be able to get a specific level of service while your next door neighbor can’t.

You’ll want to pick the fastest plan that fits your budget. In some areas this can be 300 Mbps+. But these high end broadband plans are expensive. You may find that something in the 5 to 50 Mbps range might satisfy your needs at a much lower cost.

Good Luck…

Your Questions About Internet Marketing Company

Mary asks…

Help with SEO stragegy! Which keyword would produce the best results for my business?

My company does business development; everything from webdesign and marketing to research and consulting.
For example from the following 2 keywords (assume I can get the same rank on page 1 for either):
Internet marketing for small business – 8,100 global monthly searches
Marketing in new york – 49,500 global monthly searches

What concerns me is that with the higher searched keyword would a lot of the searches be people looking for marketing jobs in new york rather than to purchase marketing services? So essentially those people would leave the site and hurt my score right?

Any thoughts on this?

barry0912 answers:

I will do keyword research for you though. Generally you want to pick as specific of a keyword as possible. Before even receiving the results of the research I can tell that “Marketing in new york” will be a waste of your time. You are using broad monthly searches too. You should be using exact global monthly searches.

Organic Search Competition Results:

“internet marketing for small business”:
Exact Global Searches: 1600
CPC: $14.41
SEO Competition: 51/100
Average Domain Authority: 50.28
Average Backlinks: 3,632

“marketing in new york”:
Exact Global Searches: 36
CPC: $5.80
SEO Competition: 41/100
Average Domain Authority: 34.6
Average Backlinks: 348

I hope this helps! Feel free to contact me if you need anything else.

ACN Is it a scam. How many people actually lose money by joining?

Its a marketing company that is endorsed by Donald Trump that sells phones and internet access along with unlimited opportunities for wealth. Most of the people i have talked to about it have horror stories about poor technology and bad service.

barry0912 answers:

I will be honest with you. I have been in it for about a year now and have done great! Sadly, not everyone has success. The problems I have seen with people who don’t do well aren’t coachable. This business is a cookie cutter business. You simply do whatever the successful people are doing. If people aren’t doing well they simply need to change their approach and they can succeed! If I have a satellite dish installed do I then get free unlimited phone calls ,tv channels, and internet?

Here in Hungary, the old state dinosaur telephone company, now disguised as a modern trendy ‘ free ‘ market company, only allows its ISP customers to use its own email! Therefore I seek an alternative.

barry0912 answers:

No. You pay like cable. You must subscribe to a certain provider and pay for the tv. If you want internet it’s more. If you want Voip it’s more. Though you can have phone calls (voip) for free using skype I THINK and there’s magicjack that’s only $20 a year. You’ll have to research what’s available in your country.
