Your Questions About Internet Marketing Jobs

Robert asks…

What kind of jobs are out there for people who study psychology?

How many years of schooling and what jobs are there for people who were to major/ get a mastors/ phd in psychology and how much do they pay?

barry0912 answers:

I noticed that no one mentioned anything involving consumer psychology, which was my focus in college. I paired my psychology major with a business minor. This opened up jobs in consumer research and areas of marketing and development. You would be amazed at some of the doors a psychology degree can open. There are also jobs in the area of Human resources and social work that require psychology degrees. If you want to do consumer research you are going to want a master’s degree. Dr. Blake at Cleveland State University in Ohio is doing global research on internet shopping behavior. If this interests you the program is worth checking out. Be forewarned that this program only accepts about 6 people a year into the program.

Ken asks…

What is the easiest to attain, the most profitable Internet business one can start today? any ideas?

We feel that almost everything has been thought off on the Internet…it is almost like “internet business anxiety”

barry0912 answers:

Hi,
Yes, you can make money as an online Affiliate Marketer. I’m making money online as we speak. Have started Affiliate Marketing earlier this year in March. I was making about $100 to $200 per week. Then as I learn from other Super Affiliate Marketers out there…I started making more. As of August 2009, I’m earning over $1,000 / week as an Affiliate Marketer. The learning curve is different for each person, but if you take the time to learn about affiliate marketing, then the rewards will be there for you.
The best way of making money online without spending a lot money is to be an Affiliate Marketer. You don’t need a website nor do you need any products. As an affiliate marketer you will market products for various companies that will pay you a commission for selling their products. (Commission is usually from 50% to 75%). So you don’t need a website; you don’t have to call anyone to sell them a product; you don’t need to join any mlm; You just need to refer people to the site of their interests and earn a commission.
Where do you learn all about these products? Check out www.clickbank.com . This is a market place to find vendors who are looking for affiliates to market their products. It costs nothing to sign up with them and nothing to start.
There are so many online methods you can use to drive traffic to these various sites you are promoting. Some of these methods include: blogging, Pay Per Click (PPC), Article Writing, eMail Marketing, and much more. To learn more about these methods, I recommend the beginners to learn from experienced Affiliate Marketers such as Ewen Chia, Michael Jones, Mack Michaels, Bobby Walker, Adell Chowdhry, and Kris Trujillo. These are some of the true Affiliate Marketers out there with great success.
Only down side is cost of advertising and getting the words out. However, this is the only type of business where you can start part time and one day earn as much as your FT job. FYI..,I started this part time 6 months ago and within 6 months..I’m earning more PT then my regular FT job. Crazy..,but true, How much you put into, you’ll get out of it as well.
In addition, I also recommend learning from the Super Affiliate Marketers out there that can eliminate your time and efforts by teaching you how to market products for free and the various methods that are available for you to use. You can find more information on Affiliate Marketing at www.Super-Affiliates-Club.com.
Save yourself time and invest in yourself and learn and you’ll soon make money online. You can start making $100 to $200/day within the next 3 days, but you have to start today and learn. It can be frustrating, but the learning curve is shorter when you learn from an Affiliate Marketer guru. Yes..you can start even today after reading this post. It sounds crazy, but it’s all true.
Here’s my recommended steps to online success — 1) Learn from an Affiliate Marketer 2) go to ClickBank.com and find a product to promote. Very easy, but takes a little effort to learn the secrets of the gurus.

Good Luck,
Tony

Mary asks…

Graduated college with a Marketing degree. Now i work in Sales and I hate it. Anyone have ideas for a career?

Ok, I have a business bachelors degree with a Major in Marketing. I’m 24 years old and I have had two different jobs since college, both in Sales, and I have hated both of them. I am at a confused point in my life and am trying to figure out what direction i should go. If anyone can relate to my situation or possibly give me guidance as to which direction I should go with a new career, I am all ears! Thanks very much!

barry0912 answers:

Hi
If you are still interested in marketing (but without having to sell in the traditional way) you might want to look into affiliate marketing. It’s a way of marketing on the internet. (You probably already knew that!)
You don’t deal with people face-to-face, you don’t speak to them or deal with their questions etc. You also don’t need to buy any products yourself. Your job is simply to send potential customers to the seller’s website. You can do this via an ad words campaign among other ways. Any sales that result from you sending that person to the website are tracked via a coded link and you get a commission. I make about $20 – $70 commission on average for every affiliate sale I make. You can make a lot of money with this method but there’s a lot to learn – although not compared with doing a degree! I did a design degree, this is way easier!
The other thing I do is Network Marketing which has had some bad press in the past but now is studied in some Universities. It’s been great for me, I started about 15 years ago and have a totally passive income now. The key is, find a good quality consumable product so you can focus your time on sponsoring, not selling. Also, stick at it. Most people only fail because they quit too soon!
Hope that helps! Best of luck Jo

Your Questions About Internet Marketing Company

Charles asks…

How do I go about getting work in Buenos Aires if I speak English and I don’t speak fluent Castellano?

I don’t want to teach English or work in a store or as a maid etc.

My background is in new media (internet), marketing and communications.

I can get a work visa and I am Australian.

barry0912 answers:

There is not a lot of work in Buenos Aires, although the situation is getting better.

I do know as a fact that native English speakers can find work teaching the language, and although you´d prefer not to do it, I suggest for you to reconsider it; at least as a back-up plan or starting point anyways…

Otherwise, you may want to think about bringing enough money to spend around 6 months looking for work, it is not unrealistic. Living there is not expensive, rent and food can be really affordable, having fun a little less…

I suggest that you rent a room in an apt with some young people, there are opportunities like that.

To look at classified ads for work, check out the corresponding section of the biggest newspaper in Buenos Aires:

www.clarin.com

Also, some employment agencies have branches in Buenos Aires, and they may be able to help you in your research so you have a clearer idea of where to start, I am talking about companies like Adeco, Manpower and the sort.

Kiss my city for me when you get there!

George asks…

How can you make money with Twitter?

I am new to internet marketing
and want to make money with Twitter.

Does anyone know of any free tools
that can help me?

barry0912 answers:

Easiest way to make money off twitter is through affiliate schemes. Where you sell someone elses product and make a commission. The first thing you will need to do is build a targeted list at what your selling. A company that can help you build a targeted list by your choice of keywords is; www.socialextreme.net once you feel you have built up a big enough target base. You start tweeting about the products your selling with your unique affiliate link, I would suggest put the link through a url shortner for use on twitter.

There is one you can make money off twitter, in a nutshell.

Your Questions About Internet Marketing Degree

Linda asks…

Is a business degree necessary in starting a career in marketing?

Or would a degree in social sciences be ok?

barry0912 answers:

No, you do not need a business degree to start a career in marketing. You don’t need any degree at all. There are countless opportunities in marketing. Its a huge field. For example, a good friend of mine started doing internet marketing while he was studying economics. He eventually got his economics degree, but he didn’t need it. He found what he loved to do: internet marketing. If you want to get into a huge corporation in one of their entry level marketing jobs, then you’re better off with a degree. There are plenty of alternatives though. There are plenty of ways to make a living with a marketing career without any degree at all. For example, here is a possible path:

1. Get an entry level job as an “Administrative Assistant.” Make sure the job has at least some advertising/marketing duties (such as stamping envelopes to send out advertising post cards).
2. Get a year of experience at this job.
3. Revise your resume, focusing on the marketing skills you learned.
4. Apply to a new job as a “Marketing Assistant.”
5. Repeat this process every year or two. This is how you “climb the corporate ladder.”

You can build a career like this. Feel free to skip steps if you can. There is no set path. No degree is necessary for this, but a degree helps get you interviews. Eventually you could become the CEO of a multi-billion dollar marketing agency.

Good luck.

Donna asks…

law degree and then a career as a business professional?

I want to do a law degree but don’t want a law career such as one as a solicitor or barrister. I would like to become a business professional instead but don’t know what area I could go into – any ideas?

barry0912 answers:

Please be aware of what you are proposing on getting yourself into. Please do more research first.

Reminder: We are in a World-wide Recession. Consider career paths that have available jobs.<<<< Jobs in the field of Law are drying up fast!! This is just not a good field to invest time and/or money into. This is a SHRINKING, crumbling, and dying vocational field. Many reasons. Many people today (mistakenly) think they can do their own legal work, thanks to the Internet. Also, we simply already have way too many Legal Professionals – we have an absolute glut!! (“Legal Professionals” includes, but is not limited to: Attorneys/Lawyers, Paralegals, Legal Assistants, Legal Secretaries, Bailiffs, Court Reporters, etc, etc)

Employers (usually law firms) in the field of Law today want employees with degrees from traditional colleges/universities. Those “certificates” you see advertised aren’t worth the paper they are printed on – they are generally scams. (I found this out the hard way.)

Cost of law school to be lawyer, approx $150,000+.
Be prepared to take on a lot of debt.

Even if you finish law school, you won’t be able to find a job when you are done. Since this vocational field is shrinking, many new attorneys/lawyers are, themselves, having to work “down” as Paralegals, Legal Assistants, Legal Secretaries, Bailiffs, Court Reporters, etc, etc, to simply try to keep some of their bills paid <that the job market/economy is just saturated with way too many Legal Professionals. Instead the schools will feed you a fairytale and will lie to you. The root of the problem is we have too many law schools. We are in a recession, and the schools are fighting for their own survival – they will tell students anything to get to the students’ money. (Which is why they won’t tell you the truth about the job market for the field of Law.) And these schools continue to recruit and churn out even more graduates………….

If you don’t believe me, then just do a search here on Yahoo Answers to see what other posters are saying about the current status of the field of Law. Call some local law firms – ask to speak to the Manager of Human Resources – ask them if they are hiring; ask them what they think about job availability in the field of Law………………

In the book “So You Want to be a Lawyer?” by Marianne Calabrese and Susanne Calabrese (ISBN 0-88391-136-1): “The United States has more lawyers than any other country in the world. About 38,000 students graduate >each year>>Healthcare or Information Technology! I spoke to a career counselor from Jobs and Family Services, and HE told me that these areas are where the jobs are, and future job availability! And scholarships!

Good luck.

(This is based on my current knowledge, information, belief, and life experiences. This was intended as personal opinion, and not intended to be used as legal advice. Please be careful and do your research.)
