Your Questions About Anonymous Email

Sharon asks…

If you send someone an anonymous email, can that person find out who sent it?

I know that they can probably find my IP address but once they have that, can they find out the identity of the person who sent the anonymous email.

Also, please not that when I set up my Yahoo! account, the personal info I put in was also made up, to keep me anonymous.

Thanks.

barry0912 answers:

It is possible to find out an IP address but I doubt if they can find out who sent it by this. It takes special software and usually only internet providers or law enforcement can get a home address from an IP address. The internet provider will not release this information to just anyone.

The link below shows the way to get an IP address:

Your Questions About Internet Marketing News

Donna asks…

e-marketing?

What is it? how can use it? Im a REALTOR in San Antonio TX where do i go or what do i do to do this?

barry0912 answers:

This is from wikipedia…
“E-marketing is a type of marketing that can be defined as achieving objectives through the use of electronic communications technology such as Internet, e-mail, Ebooks, database, and mobile phone. It is a more general term than online marketing which is limited to the use of internet technology to attain marketing objectives.”

I would say everything from generating an e-newsletter (automatically sending them real estate news for your area or your business weekly or monthly, for example) to optimising your site for search engines to paid search engine ads to internet radio advertising would all be ways of e-marketing to prospective clients. And there are many more.

If you are thinking about marketing your real estate site (assuming you have one), online marketing & search engine optimization would be a good idea. Online marketing would take a long time to explain here. If you are interested in doing it yourself, check out seochat.com (that’s where I started several years ago & is still a good source of info). If you are looking for a professional web marketing solution, look around but be careful as there are many shady marketing companies out there (look for testimonials)… Or call us.

the characteristics of e-marketing tools?

barry0912 answers:

Did you know there are now over 1 Billion Internet users around
the world. And that number is increasing every day.

That’s roughly one sixth of the world’s population now using the web
to surf, to find information, and of course – to shop… That’s one
enormous marketplace.

Likewise, many individuals just like yourself, have taken advantage
of this new medium and created successful online websites and

an envious lifestyle – working at home or wherever they want,
working their own hours, creating part-time or full-time incomes
for themselves and their families.

Many have attained a level of personal and financial freedom,
rarely experienced this side of a Bill Gates’s luncheon.

Along the way many of these marketers and ordinary people have
realized in order to fully maximize their benefits from sales and
traffic you need professional marketing tools. In other words,
you need high quality proven marketing tools and software to
make your job easier and quicker. These marketing tools will
save you time, money and stress! A whole lot of stress!

But more importantly, it is these effective marketing tools which
give you the freedom that makes the whole online marketing
experience so envious. These tools will Liberate you from
hours or even days of tedious work. These marketing tools do
most of the work for you. Professional marketers know a one-time
investment in high quality effective marketing tools will pay
dividends again and again… They also know it is the only way
to proceed.

George asks…

Are all internet marketing products a lie?

So many internet marketers are selling all kinds of products all around: ebooks, pdfs, various tool software. If they have a system that is working why do they need to sell anything to teach others how to use the same system? Wouldn’t the system they have found be best kept secret and keep bringing them money instead of sharing it with others?
Like this one person which has big reputation and keeps creating pdf books for sale every 2 months, if not every single month. When is the time when this person actually does some IM work?
To me it looks more and more that almost everything for sale from IM gurus, like 95%, is just A LIE.
What are your opinions and experiences?

barry0912 answers:

Of course not all internet marketing products are a lie.
Otherwise all marketing would be a lie, etc.
These days people are used to products reaching out TO them, not them going out into the world and seeking the products out.
So, there are many ways to market thing via different channels, in different markets and it’s OK.
Helps companies make money.
At the same time, there are people whose primary focus is NOT to market a product to the people who’d be interested in it (which’s be a win-win situation), but to simply MAKE MONEY ONLNE – that’s their end goal.

How can you tell the 2 types apart? The first type are the people who have experiences working for a company or a brand, or many brands and doing marketing for them. Then a time comes for them to give back to the community, so they share their experiences, shortcuts, etc. With others.

While the #makemoneyonline scammers are normally recognized by their signature unrealistic promises of the hoards of money they will teach you how to make. They also make videos while sitting on a leather couch at some expensive mansion by the waterfront with a few dogs in the background, etc. And they never teach you how to make your customers happy. They teach you how to make YOU happy and rich. That’s their main difference.

Your Questions About Internet Marketing Company

Michael asks…

Internet business?

What would be a good internet business worth starting?

In a place where there seems to be everything already, what needs or services (moral) could still be provided?

barry0912 answers:

One of the most common mistakes of beginners who want to start internet marketing is, they think that they need to learn more before they really start the business. It is true that there is a lot to learn! But unless you really start working, you will never get a chance to learn.

The Basics of Affiliate Business

An affiliate marketing business is about promoting (or recommending) someone else’s product(s) and earning commission on the sales.

The person/company, to whom the product belongs to, is called ‘the Merchant’ and ‘an affiliate’ is the one who promotes the product(s).

The process involved in recommending, selling the products, tracking the sales and paying/getting paid is called ‘the Affiliate Program’.

Your part as an affiliate is very simple. You have no commitment of selling and no targets. No investment, no convincing or no canvassing on your part. Your job is just to spread the word around, and send as many visitors (prospects) as possible to the merchant’s website. Then just wait for your commission.

Most of the merchants pay you per sale basis. Some pay you per lead basis and some of them pay per click basis (a ‘lead’ is generated when a visitor registers with the merchant or asks for some information, usually without making any payment, and when a visitor clicks on the link you provided and reaches the website of the merchant, a ‘click’ is achieved).

Let’s assume that you have put-in considerable amount of effort to send visitors to the merchant’s website. How will you know whether your visitors reached the merchant’s website? And when they reached, whether they bought the product(s)?

This process is called ‘tracking’. Tracking is normally done by the merchants either by installing their own ‘affiliate tracking software’ on their website or by subscribing to a company who provide ‘affiliate tracking services’.

There are few methods to track a sale (or action). The common method is to save a small file called a ‘cookie’ (with your ‘affiliate id’ in it), in the computer of the visitor. And from that time onwards, whatever action he/she takes (like registering or buying) is tracked and accordingly the agreed commission is credited to your account.

The ‘affiliate tracking companies’ (Affiliate Program Providers or APP’s) provide a common platform and help the merchants to find ‘qualified affiliates’ and the affiliates to find ‘honest merchants’.

To start promoting a merchant’s product(s), you need to register directly with a merchant, if they have their own software or with an ‘affiliate tracking company’. If you are registering with a tracking company, you can then find suitable products and merchants and then promote them.

When a desired (or agreed) action has taken place (a click or lead or sale), you will be credited the agreed amount and will be paid (by the tracking company or by the merchant if you registered directly with them) when you have accumulated the minimum payable amount (as agreed).

Lizzie asks…

How have computers influenced marketing and sales through the internet?

Please help!
Thankyou

barry0912 answers:

The internet would not exist without computers. The internet has expanded venues of companies to market their products with little up front costs. It has enabled those starting out to market products without the large start up costs associated with a store front.

Your Questions About Internet Marketing News

Joseph asks…

How private/secure is the internet?

Just wondering, are websites allowed to keep tab on the sites you go, know your name from cookies or something etc. I’M NOT TALKING ABOUT GIVING OUT FREE INFO ON CONTESTS or whatever. Just like… right now, being on any website, what information is being taking, etc.

barry0912 answers:

Kath, like it or not the Internet is the Wild West of data…anything goes.
For starters, how’s this for ‘right now’:
Yahoo! & Google breach of trust to it’s patrons reached a new low.
Both services submissively bowed to advertising conglomerates, by adopting ‘phorm’ inspired “targeted advertising”; a ‘data siphon’ method that directs your clickstream to 3rd party advertisers, and builds a portfolio on your surf habits.
This may make your browser display pop-ups which you have no control over, and may in fact do many other un-requested actions with your entire system.

Google itself has spyware.
From their Privacy Center page
(http://www.google.com/privacy_ads.html)
“No personally identifiable information – We don’t collect or serve ads based on personal information without your permission.”
Notice the last 3 words…yet it is specifically an “Opt Out” condition!

And Gmail, once perceived to be ‘safe’, actually scans all your mail & then selects advertising based on the content. It’s “for your own good….”
http://mail.google.com/mail/help/about_privacy.html

“Google uses the DoubleClick DART cookie on our Google content network …”
These guys are the used car salesman of the internet, very ‘slippery’ characters burying their methods, details & opt out choices with layer after layer, page after page of non-sense & merry-go-round tactics plus non-functioning links, etc.
All I can say is keep trying & get as many of these tracking portfolios killed as you can.

Yahoo! Calls their invasion of privacy “Matched advertising”, and it stems from the ‘Network Advertising Initiative’ (NAI), a conglomerate of advertising kingpins and requires “Opt Out” to defray the advertising tsunami from Yahoo’s partners in this server based spyware/adware (and to stop them from creating a ‘profile’ of you).
“Opt out” sign in pages;
Yahoo here: http://info.yahoo.com/relevantads/
Google here: http://www.google.com/privacy_ads.html
NAI garbage here: http://networkadvertising.org/managing/o…
DoubleClick here: http://www.doubleclick.com/privacy/dart_adserving.aspx

**************
Yahoo has gone insane.
**CRITICAL RECENT DEVELOPMENT**
Get this: the ‘new’ Yahoo by default, allows your Yahoo! Contacts computers, to send to whatever 3rd party software they have on THEIR computer, information about you! Can you believe that!!?
This is something you must end ASAP.
Look in your mail account settings (ya, it’s buried very conveniently) and uncheck this box!

Go to your Yahoo! Mail: near the “Welcome (your name)”, tick the ‘Profile’ link; next page, upper right corner, tick ‘Settings’; next page, near the bottom is the box to uncheck.

This is spying, pure and simple.
And the deterioration of trust with Yahoo! Grows…it’s pathetic.

IMHO: the installation of the 3rd party data siphon servers, @ Yahoo & Google, et al, have for the last 4 weeks or so, been responsible for the Internet wide “glitches” and server interruptions, and is subjecting all users to massive invasion of privacy.

**********
Note: New US Court ruling “…the U.S. Federal Communications Commission that mandate telecommunications carriers must get an “opt-in” before disclosing customers’ information to a carrier’s joint venture business partner or an independent contractor.

The FCC “gave sufficient reasons for singling out the relationships between carriers and third-party marketing partners,” the court said in denying the petition for judicial review sought by the NCTA.”
http://tech.yahoo.com/news/nm/20090213/tc_nm/us_fcc_cable_court

But even this appears to be only a ‘suggestion’ from the court & may be good news; we’ll see.

barry0912 answers:

Norton Internet Security 2009 (NIS 2009) is currently the FASTEST internet security package (at 7mb memory usage only!) (beats kaspersky by 15mb)

Proof http://www.pcauthority.com.au/Review/127995,norton-internet-security-2009-believe-the-hype.aspx

NIS 2009 has the lowest system usage (therefore fastest) product on the market. With high a detection rate of 92% on par with Kaspersky.

Norton Internet Security 2009 is the Fastest (more proof)

http://www.bastillwork.net/security-software/norton-internet-security-2009.html

http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/news/index.cfm?newsid=104478

Also answerers must understand, a free anti-virus alone can’t fully protect a system.

By the time of answering this, NIS 2010 has just been released. Faster than ever and using new reputation-based technology, this eliminates the old signature-based scanning and opens new potentials for nexgen security.

William asks…

Detect and avoid anonymous surfing?

I have a blog and I think that someone is entering it using a proxy to surf the web anonymously, so his IP remains hidden, and he leaves no sign of his visits to my blog. I would like to know if there is any way of knowing if he is using an anonymous surfing or not, and is there is any way to ban him as long as he enters my blog in this way.
Thank you very much to all of you.

barry0912 answers:

In safe mode F8 run malwarebytes anti-malware and SUPERAntispyware, and what they find you
delete it manually. Then run ccleaner to clean your pc, and mvregclean, to clean registry.
What mvregclean find you remove because the key is there but not the file ,folder or program.
Even you reformat and it finds anything remove dont be afraid.
Dont forget when you install this software to update them, and do an update every day
then restore untill before you get infected.
