Your Questions About Internet Marketing Blog

Betty asks…

Dears…Please . what is the best money making Internet marketing available as u know…& tried successfully.?

barry0912 answers:

The best network marketing, internet marketing business cannot be stated that simply. What works successfully for one does not necessarily work for another. Also many companies require that you continue to recruit to earn commissions, so naturally they are going to tell you their’s is the best.

I wrote a blog recently about advice for working from home. You can find the link to it in the 2nd paragraph of my profile here on answers. In that blog are many tips of what to look for, what to avoid, how to search to find out if a company is having problems, complaints, etc.

Most people don’t read their policies and procedures, which is critical to having a successful network marketing business. Understanding compensation plans is also critical but most of us who have been in this a while had to learn this the hard way. We joined an opp, worked and worked, believing the hype we were told, blamed ourselves when we didn’t make the money others said we would/could, spent more money on outgo than every receiving income.

A good rule of thumb, before joining any opp is to set your financial goal first. What do you desire to make per month over a given time. Ask the person you are joining ‘how many people do I have to have to make $xxx ?’ For instance, one program I was in took 1300 people to make $5,000 a month.

Plus according to the policies and procedures I had to continue working and recruiting others monthly to earn a commission check; I would never be able to stop and just enjoy the residual income I had created over time. They don’t always tell you that up front.

Donald asks…

what do you mean by E-marketing?

barry0912 answers:

E-marketing is another word for internet marketing. Internet marketing is the use of the Internet to advertise and sell goods and services. Internet Marketing includes pay per click advertising, banner ads, e-mail marketing, affiliate marketing, interactive advertising, search engine marketing (including search engine optimization), blog marketing, and article marketing.

Internet marketing is associated with several business models. The main models include business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C). B2B consists of companies doing business with each other, whereas B2C involves selling directly to the end consumer. When Internet marketing first began, the B2C model was first to emerge. B2B transactions were more complex and came about later. A third, less common business model is peer-to-peer (P2P), where individuals exchange goods between themselves. An example of P2P is Kazaa, which is built upon individuals sharing files.

Internet marketing can also be seen in various formats. One version is name-your-price (e.g. Priceline.com). With this format, customers are able to state what price range they wish to spend and then select from items at that price range. With find-the-best-price websites (e.g. Hotwire.com), Internet users can search for the lowest prices on items. A final format is online auctions (e.g. Ebay.com) where buyers bid on listed items.

Some of the benefits associated with Internet marketing include the availability of information. Consumers can log onto the Internet and learn about products, as well as purchase them, at any hour. Companies that use Internet marketing can also save money because of a reduced need for a sales force. Overall, Internet marketing can help expand from a local market to both national and international marketplaces. And, in a way, it levels the playing field for big and small players. Unlike traditional marketing media (like print, radio and TV), entry into the realm of Internet marketing can be a lot less expensive.

Furthermore, since exposure, response and overall efficacy of digital media is much easier to track than that of traditional “offline” media, Internet marketing offers a greater sense of accountability for advertisers.

Limitations of Internet marketing create problems for both companies and consumers. Slow Internet connections can cause difficulties. If companies build overly large or complicated web pages, Internet users may struggle to download the information. Internet marketing does not allow shoppers to touch, smell, taste or try-on tangible goods before making an online purchase. Some e-commerce vendors have implemented liberal return policies to reassure customers. Another limiting factor, particularly with respect to actual buying and selling, is the adequate development (or lack thereof) of electronic payment methods like e-checks, credit cards, etc.

Your Questions About Low Cost Dental Insurance

Robert asks…

I don’t have dental insurance. Are there any resources that I can look into for low cost dental care?

I am looking for an actual “low costdental or medical healthcare insurance plan and NOT a “discounted” dental care service such as the AmeriPlan services. I am in need of oral surgery and possibly a couple dental implants or bridge work, which of course is very expensive. Can anyone help me by providing a list of beneficial information? I promise you that your feedback is highly appreciated…..thanks!

barry0912 answers:

As a dentist I recommend calling your counties local Department of Family and Childrens Services. A lot of these services actually have a dentist on staff that is available to help with any dental procedures you may need. If your county DFCS office does not provide any type of dental services they should be able to put you into contact with someone who will be able to assist you (ex: another state agency). Also try your local dental school if there is one around you, these procedures are usually provided and are very low in cost compared to a dental office itself. Good luck and I hope you find the help you need.

Sharon asks…

I am looking for low cost dental and vision insurance. Currently reside in Georgia and wanted to know if any?

Was looking at Humana but wanted to find out what other companies were out there. If you can please tell me why you chose the company you are currently with.

barry0912 answers:

I used to have dental insurance, but canceled when I signed for this discount program. It gave me almost 50% to 80% off regular dental stuff which is about what I would pay even if I had insurance.. But I don’t have to pay the $50 a month for the insurance. It’s 20 bucks, and it gives me dental coverage, vision, prescription and chiropractic. And it’s 20 bucks for anyone living in my house. My roommate (who is not related to me) gets the same discount on her stuff. If you sign up today, you can go the Dr. Tomorrow, no limits, no deductible. You just pay whatever your discount is.

It’s great. Www.EveryoneBenefits.com/smiles click on dental plus.

You can search for a dentist in your area, and then at the top hit join now. Register with the site, and you’re good to go! Good Luck!

Your Questions About Internet Marketing News

Joseph asks…

How private/secure is the internet?

Just wondering, are websites allowed to keep tab on the sites you go, know your name from cookies or something etc. I’M NOT TALKING ABOUT GIVING OUT FREE INFO ON CONTESTS or whatever. Just like… right now, being on any website, what information is being taking, etc.

barry0912 answers:

Kath, like it or not the Internet is the Wild West of data…anything goes.
For starters, how’s this for ‘right now’:
Yahoo! & Google breach of trust to it’s patrons reached a new low.
Both services submissively bowed to advertising conglomerates, by adopting ‘phorm’ inspired “targeted advertising”; a ‘data siphon’ method that directs your clickstream to 3rd party advertisers, and builds a portfolio on your surf habits.
This may make your browser display pop-ups which you have no control over, and may in fact do many other un-requested actions with your entire system.

Google itself has spyware.
From their Privacy Center page
(http://www.google.com/privacy_ads.html)
“No personally identifiable information – We don’t collect or serve ads based on personal information without your permission.”
Notice the last 3 words…yet it is specifically an “Opt Out” condition!

And Gmail, once perceived to be ‘safe’, actually scans all your mail & then selects advertising based on the content. It’s “for your own good….”
http://mail.google.com/mail/help/about_privacy.html

“Google uses the DoubleClick DART cookie on our Google content network …”
These guys are the used car salesman of the internet, very ‘slippery’ characters burying their methods, details & opt out choices with layer after layer, page after page of non-sense & merry-go-round tactics plus non-functioning links, etc.
All I can say is keep trying & get as many of these tracking portfolios killed as you can.

Yahoo! Calls their invasion of privacy “Matched advertising”, and it stems from the ‘Network Advertising Initiative’ (NAI), a conglomerate of advertising kingpins and requires “Opt Out” to defray the advertising tsunami from Yahoo’s partners in this server based spyware/adware (and to stop them from creating a ‘profile’ of you).
“Opt out” sign in pages;
Yahoo here: http://info.yahoo.com/relevantads/
Google here: http://www.google.com/privacy_ads.html
NAI garbage here: http://networkadvertising.org/managing/o…
DoubleClick here: http://www.doubleclick.com/privacy/dart_adserving.aspx

**************
Yahoo has gone insane.
**CRITICAL RECENT DEVELOPMENT**
Get this: the ‘new’ Yahoo by default, allows your Yahoo! Contacts computers, to send to whatever 3rd party software they have on THEIR computer, information about you! Can you believe that!!?
This is something you must end ASAP.
Look in your mail account settings (ya, it’s buried very conveniently) and uncheck this box!

Go to your Yahoo! Mail: near the “Welcome (your name)”, tick the ‘Profile’ link; next page, upper right corner, tick ‘Settings’; next page, near the bottom is the box to uncheck.

This is spying, pure and simple.
And the deterioration of trust with Yahoo! Grows…it’s pathetic.

IMHO: the installation of the 3rd party data siphon servers, @ Yahoo & Google, et al, have for the last 4 weeks or so, been responsible for the Internet wide “glitches” and server interruptions, and is subjecting all users to massive invasion of privacy.

**********
Note: New US Court ruling “…the U.S. Federal Communications Commission that mandate telecommunications carriers must get an “opt-in” before disclosing customers’ information to a carrier’s joint venture business partner or an independent contractor.

The FCC “gave sufficient reasons for singling out the relationships between carriers and third-party marketing partners,” the court said in denying the petition for judicial review sought by the NCTA.”
http://tech.yahoo.com/news/nm/20090213/tc_nm/us_fcc_cable_court

But even this appears to be only a ‘suggestion’ from the court & may be good news; we’ll see.

Norton Internet Security 2009 (NIS 2009) is currently the FASTEST internet security package (at 7mb memory usage only!) (beats kaspersky by 15mb)

Proof http://www.pcauthority.com.au/Review/127995,norton-internet-security-2009-believe-the-hype.aspx

NIS 2009 has the lowest system usage (therefore fastest) product on the market. With high a detection rate of 92% on par with Kaspersky.

Norton Internet Security 2009 is the Fastest (more proof)

Also answerers must understand, a free anti-virus alone can’t fully protect a system.

By the time of answering this, NIS 2010 has just been released. Faster than ever and using new reputation-based technology, this eliminates the old signature-based scanning and opens new potentials for nexgen security.

Your Questions About Internet Marketing Forum

Donna asks…

I was wondering if I can ask a simple question to promote my business without being considered to be a SCAM?

To the two people who answered my first question. You can call me direct at 951-488-4185. It was a posed questions to see how many people really respond to internet marketing. Ask for Adam.

barry0912 answers:

Advertise from a customer perspective with a testimonial on how great the product is. Also, only questions are supposed to be posted in Yahoo! Answers, so search for someone asking for the kind of service that you provide. Otherwise, you could post on public forums of related interests.

Paul asks…

Is it better that one reads a book on the basics of Internet marketing?

Will this save them time and money?
Will it help them avoid making costly mistakes?
What are some books you suggest?

barry0912 answers:

Hi Christopher,

I would suggest that you go straight to the source- online!

I have been learning internet marketing for the last 5 months or so, and I looked into buying books, and I was disappointed with the selection- the problem is, the field is continuously evolving!

A book can teach you the very basics, but you’ll end up paying for information you can find for free.

My advice is to follow the experts, the gurus- Do a search for a specific topic you’re interested in, and you’ll get tons of specific blog entries and articles to help you out- the nice thing about internet marketing is how active and growing the community is.

If you already have a site, it’s great because you can experiment as you go and see what suits your needs best. If you’re starting from scratch, consider getting a free blog or other personal site that allows you to manage content personally. Otherwise you may feel lost, and the truth is, you don’t need a textbook- the key to the Internet is, it’s interactive. Textbooks can never compare.

Plus, you’ll often get more actual information per paragraph than most books will offer.

Depending on your goals, there are many ways to market online. You have to start with a site, and you should learn some basics on Search Engine Optimization (SEO) (I wrote a blog entry that offers some resources for beginners, I will add it below) – beyond that you have tons of options.

– Write original articles and submit to article sites (they provide good exposure!)
– Create videos and post them to YouTube and other video sites
– Write a blog and get it out there! (plenty of free sites)
– Make friends in the social network space (i.e. Sites like MySpace, Facebook and Twitter) that will help you spread the word
– Record a Podcast and publish to different podcasting sites
– Visit other sites, forums, etc and post comments where you think your product or service could benefit the person
– If you’re strictly looking for traffic, don’t be afraid of paid advertising or sponsorships

Your Questions About Internet Marketing Services

What is Affiliate Internet Marketing ?

barry0912 answers:

It is internet marketing without your own product. You are essentially marketing the products or services of someone else. You, the affiliate marketer, will make commissions on every single sale you are responsible for. (i.e. If you lead a visitor to a merchant’s website and they make a purchase, you get paid)

There are many different methods and approaches to affiliate marketing so you can go about business in whatever way suits you best depending on your budget and how much time/effort you can invest in your ventures.

If you are new to marketing, i strongly advise using a guide so you can minimize the risks. Many people fall for scams, get stuck, or end up losing a lot of money trying to use a technique that isn’t suited for what they are trying to do. A lot of this can be easily avoided with proper guidance and it can save you a lot of time and money in the long run.

Theres a website called 404 reviews that explains various internet marketing methods along with lots of other useful info about internet marketing in general that can really help you out.

Building opt in list and affiliate marketing – effective internet marketing plan

Building opt in list and affiliate marketing have become synonymous to online success as an effective internet marketing strategy. For many online sites, building opt in list and affiliate marketing have proven quite profitable. Primarily because most online users are not exposed to any unscrupulous internet marketing strategies prevalent on the World Wide Web.

As an effective Internet marketing strategy, users are given the option to signup for information or service provided by a particular site. Building opt in list and affiliate marketing reduces the risk of spamming since the recipient voluntarily chooses to receive emails from a website. Plus, building opt in list and affiliate marketing provides a direct link to the subscriber that will help shape a formidable customer relationship that will keep on going.

The basics of building opt in list and affiliate marketing

Different websites have different ways of building opt in list and affiliate marketing. However there are some tried and tested formulas to help new affiliate marketers develop their own opt in listing for their site. The first and most important factor to determine in building opt in list and affiliate marketing is to establish the site’s target market.

Once the target market is established, building opt in list and affiliate marketing can be customized to meet their demands. This can be done using a variety of methods to convince site visitors to sign up for the site’s newsletter or e-zine. After signing up, the customer will begin to receive a variety of newsletters, e-zines and brochures that the customer had registered for.

Strategies for building opt in list and affiliate marketing

There are a number of strategies that affiliate marketers can use for building opt in list and affiliate marketing. One way of building opt in list and affiliate marketing is by purchasing or leasing a subscribers list from third-parties. This is usually done by affiliate marketers in order to get easy access to many people who have consented to receiving e-mails, newsletters and e-zines on various topics.

Although it is the fastest approach to building opt in list and affiliate marketing, this method does not provide a focused consumer group for building opt in list and affiliate marketing. In addition, it may cost an affiliate marketer more than what they expect to receive in sales. Fortunately, there are other ways for affiliate marketers to get the most out of building opt in list and affiliate marketing.

Enlisting for co-registration services is great for building opt in list and affiliate marketing. This service usually costs about 10 cents to 30 cents per subscriber but it easily translates into an average of three hundred subscribers daily to an affiliate marketer’s opt in list.

Writing articles is also an effective strategy for building opt in list and affiliate marketing. The articles can be published in various newsletters with specific links to the affiliate marketer’s site. This serves as a great introduction to potential subscribers that would encourage them to sign up for an opt in list.

Joint ventures are also a valuable strategy in building opt in list and affiliate marketing. Joint ventures are a hundred percent free and at the same time can add up to hundreds of subscribers to an opt in list daily.

Incentives for building opt in list and affiliate marketing

Building opt in list and affiliate marketing can also be encouraged by offering incentives to potential subscribers. This subtle form of encouragement for building opt in list and affiliate marketing often helps stir the interest of potential subscribers to sign up for the opt in list. There are a number of methods used in affiliate marketing to egg on potential subscribers to sign up.

Offering products and services in exchange for signing up is commonly practiced by many affiliate websites. Products may include special e-books or software that would be of interest to the subscriber. Another way to get subscribers to sign up is to offer them special services that are only available for site members.

Regardless of the incentive used for building opt in list and affiliate marketing, the most important factor to consider is how to keep the interest of the subscriber. Remember, it is just as easy for a subscriber to opt out of the list as it was to opt in to the list.

You can get opt-in services at aweber or getresponse, they will do everything for you and no spam complaints!
