Donna asks…

Can An Employer Use Binding Arbitration Over EEOC Title VII Complaints?

Based on employer arbitration agreements, It is at least implied that an employee has no right to file a valid Title IV complaint with the EEOC.
I have seen two cases that have gone both was so there really is no president that I know of.
Has the Supreme Court or Congress made a decision on this?
This is the most recent story I could find on this issue. (4 yrs. old)

barry0912 answers:

EEOC does not recognize prior arbitration agreements, so it makes no difference what an employer may or may not have implied. If you have an EEOC complaint, file it. You are protected by federal law from retribution when you file, by the way.

Thomas asks…

What are the five major types of marketing?

I was asked this on a job interview, and since I am an entry level candidate with no experience in marketing and advertising I was wondering what exactly they were looking for on this question.

Also, any tips on basic marketing and advertising information and stratagies would help. Thanks a bunch guys!

barry0912 answers:

There are numerous marketing methods which are prevalent in today’s economy, but five of them are dominating the world market as a whole; digital marketing, Internet marketing, affiliate marketing, multilevel marketing, and global marketing.

Digital Marketing:
Digital marketing or direct digital marketing, is a type of marketing in which a business uses purely electronic means to advertise their products and services. This type of marketing can be implemented through television, the internet, and even electronic billboards. Not only does this save a company in mailing costs, it also ensures that more people will be exposed to their products. Digital marketing has erupted from television commercials to the internet, then from the internet to phones and other portable digital devices such as the iPad, Kindle, etc.

Internet Marketing:
Like its relative digital marketing, Internet marketing uses electronic means to advertise to the public. Internet marketing employs email, banner ads, those annoying pop ups, etc. The internet is an ever-growing übermarket of seemingly limitless advertising space, and it continues to grow with evolving subsections of marketing such as affiliate marketing.

Affiliate Marketing :
Affiliate marketing is a type of marketing in which online advertisers and merchants share revenue with online salespeople or website owners through a compensation model that is based on certain performance measures such as Pay per Click, sales, registrations, or a model that combines any or all of these forms.

Multi-Level Marketing :
Multi-level marketing, or MLM, is a type of marketing in which consumer products are generally sold by individuals either in consumer’s homes or in a designated area of meeting. For instance, Avon, Tupperware, and Mary Kay are all forms of legitimate multi-level marketing. Multi-level marketers set their own hours and can earn money based on sales.

Global Marketing:
Global marketing is a form of marketing in which various international business allies form relationships and develop networks on a global scale. They work closely with one another’s home countries, their government officials, and the industry competitors in order to gain and develop a target market. In this type of advanced market, stakeholder benefits outweigh that of the company’s personal organizational objectives. In this case, stakeholders would be employees, the society in which a business is entering, the companies’ respective governments, etc.

Basic Marketing Strategies:
Inside the company’s marketing strategy is closely related to 3 main basic strengths including; Customer, Company /Corporation and Competition.A good marketing strategy includes three of the following:

1. A clear market definition.
2. A good collaboration between the company’s strengths and needs of the market.
3. Company performance is superior, active and responsive to various conditions of competition.

Basic Marketing Tips:
You are not what you sell
Set your goal
Don’t just stand there, show off
Keep them coming back
Grow. Change. Be better

Your Questions About Anonymous Mask

William asks…

How does the group “Anonymous” stay anonymous if they protest in groups?

It seems like it shouldn’t be hard to infiltrate an anonymous mask-wearing group. Are these just naive college kids in over their heads, is the “Church of Scientology” not as dangerous as claimed, or is there something I am missing?

barry0912 answers:

Scientology HAS tried to infiltrate the Anonymous protests. There are discussion threads dedicated to this kind of Scientology tactic at the Anonymous message boards on enturbulation.org.

Anonymous is not an “organization” as such things are generally understood. It has no structure, no hierarchy, no central leadership. It’s a collection of concerned individuals from all walks of life and from around the world who have come together to protest against the crimes perpetrated by the Church of Scientology.

The CoS certainly IS as dangerous as claimed. There are multitudes of people who have suffered tragic experiences during their involvement with Scientology. Read about them here:

Here are more “bad experiences” with the cult including an illegal plot to infiltrate the government, brainwashing techniques, mind control camps, attacks on critics, and DEATHS caused by Scientology doctrine and members:

● Operation Snow White – Under this official program, Scientology operatives committed infiltration, wiretapping, & theft of documents in government offices. This program constituted the single largest infiltration of the United States government in history. Among the 11 prominent Scientologists convicted of this conspiracy was Mary Sue Hubbard, the wife of Scientology’s “prophet”.

● Operation Freakout – Their campaign of sabotage & violence against Paulette Cooper, the writer who published her research & findings on several cults, including Scientology. Scientology’s official plan: to frame Paulette, ruin her career & reputation & get her either incarcerated or locked up in psychiatric confinement.

● Fair Game – the Scientology policy detailing how the organization may confront & handle critics & perceived enemies. Here is a direct quote: “Enemies may be deprived of property or injured by any means by any Scientologist without any discipline of the Scientologist. May be tricked, sued or lied to or destroyed.” Though they claim this policy is no longer in effect, Scientology still goes to great lengths to bully all known critics, opponents, “enemies”, etc, often through malicious litigation & character assassination, even going so far as to falsely accuse them of crimes.

● Physical & psychological punishment – Scientologists who “break the rules” while members of the “Sea Org” must subject themselves to the Rehabilitation Project Force (RPF), which includes regimes of harsh physical punishment, forced self-confessions, social isolation, hard labor and intensive ideological indoctrination.

● Brainwashing & mind control – Scientology exerts control over its members by means of typical cult tactics, including but not limited to controlling information about internal doctrine & criticism of the organization, severely restricting social contact outside the cult (including the practice of “disconnecting” from family, friends & ex-members who question the credibility & trustworthiness of the cult & are therefore considered “suppressive persons” by Scientology), creating an “us against them” mentality by villainizing a specific out-group (for Scientology, it’s psychiatrists), & claiming all those outside the cult are dangerously unenlightened.

● Tax Fraud – One of the only reasons they enjoy “tax exempt status” on religious ground in the United States is because they bullied the IRS into a “deal” through extremely aggressive barratry (which is the offense of persistently instigating groundless lawsuits) against said government agency and its officials, and arranged to drop all 2,500 frivolous lawsuits only when an “agreement” was reached. In addition, Scientology’s lawyers hired private investigators to dig up any “dirt” on IRS agents which was then used to blackmail or publicly smear all “vulnerable” agents.

● Violent Kidnapping – Lisa McPherson was a Scientologist, was involved in a car accident & resultantly became mentally unstable. She was kidnapped from the hospital by agents of Scientology, held against her will, refused proper psychiatric treatment & allowed to STARVE TO DEATH.

James asks…

Does using a Guy Fawkes mask as your avatar indicate homosexual leanings?

If a person uses a Guy Fawkes mask as an avatar, calls herself “Anonymous,” and asks a lot of gay troll questions, does that mean she is gay, or is she just a confused bi-sexual?

barry0912 answers:

There is no certainty in assuming she is either. She could also be a heterosexual into BDSM or latex, or she could be just a regular zoophiliac. Using a Guy Fawkes mask in any manner at all does not denote any specific sexual behavior.

Michael asks…

Does the right to free speech include the right to be anonymous, or masked?

What does the law say about, for instance, KKK members wearing hoods? Or protesters of China’s policies, who want to hide their faces so relatives in China are not persecuted?

And what about anonymous postings on the internet?

barry0912 answers:

Yes, in most cases.

When there is a legitimate need, however, you can be compelled to identify yourself to government officials.

Steven asks…

Can anyone help me with a detailed affiliate marketing strategy?

I started getting involved in affiliate marketing a couple of months ago, but I feel like I am jumping all over and not getting anything accomplished. I need an actual affiliate marketing strategy that I can follow step by step. Does anybody have a good one to follow? I am willing to pay some money for a program or tutorial.

barry0912 answers:

Just like you I only started doing affiliate marketing about 3 months ago, but before that I had researched it for about 3 months. I came across a website for Matt Bacak, www.mattbacak.com, who is already a millionaire and I think he is only like 30 years old. He has several products that you can buy and also a newsletter that you can subscribe to you called Internet Marketing Dirt. I have found his products and even his free information on affiliate marketing strategy a ton better and more informative than anybody else’s that I have come across in the 3 months that I did research on affiliate marketing.

I have only been doing actual affiliate marketing part-time at nights and on weekends for 3 months, but I am seeing some pretty good income right now. It’s enough to pay my car payment as well as groceries for the month for our family of 3 so I can’t complain. And I know that it will only increase the more I work at it because I am learning how to be more efficient every day. Although I may never be able to quit my full-time job, I will continue to have this extra money for quite awhile, which means that my wife can stop working.

Anyways, check out Matt’s website and check out the different products as well as his newsletters as he has a great affiliate marketing strategy and is very willing to share it with anyone who will listen.

barry0912 answers:

Hi There!

To answer your questions: 1) eCommerce primarily applies to the methods used to sell products and services online (such as shopping cart software). Internet marketing refers to the methods used to build visibility for a product or service. Internet marketing methods include anything from building a website to writing articles, to other methods that have yet to be invented.

2) As for schools that offer an official degree, Full Sail seems to be the only school really promoting it. The thing is, I wouldn’t recommend an internet marketing degree, because the best internet marketing methods change every year, and in my experience, it is impossible for an institution to keep up with the “bleeding-edge” tools and tricks.

If it’s the actual degree you want/need, I’d recommend going for a business, marketing, or entrepreneurial degree, but learning internet marketing on your own. Internet marketing is a skill that is learned by doing, not just reading theory.

When I first got started, I took a free online course called the “Thirty Day Challenge”, in which each day you watched video tutorials that showed you how an online tool worked, and then you had to apply it to your own goal of making $1 online. The Thirty Day Challenge is now just called “The Challenge”, so you can take it at your own pace. I highly recommend it for learning internet marketing strategies.

3) Not sure if any of the internet marketing degrees are offered anywhere but on the internet 😉 You may have to keep looking, but as I said, seek out a related major, then teach yourself the techniques via eBooks and online courses.

If you’re college age, a potential employer may only offer you an internship (unpaid) anyway, UNLESS you have already gotten results (made money) for yourself or others. So you might as well learn how to use internet marketing on your own to get those results.

The irony is, once you’ve mastered the in-demand skill of internet marketing, you may not want to finish school OR work for anyone else.

Good luck!
