John asks…

What is the relationship between Scientology and the Anonymous?

Anonymous is something I am aware of, and I am also aware of Scientology and its beliefs and practices. But how do the two overlap? Supposedly they hate one another but is it not true that members of Anonymous also follow Scientology simultaneously?

barry0912 answers:

Such a broad question, here is some info I found;
According to info I found anonymous has no actual membership. People just operate
loosely under that name. While Scientology is a religious group, a church. Anons can
be members of Scientology.

anonymous: Definition, Synonyms from Answers.com
anonymous adj. Having an unknown or unacknowledged name: an anonymous author. Having an unknown or withheld authorship or agency:
“ We [Anonymous] just happen to be a group of people on the internet who need—just kind of an outlet to do as we wish, that we wouldn’t be able to do in regular society. …That’s more or less the point of it. Do as you wish. … There’s a common phrase: ‘we are doing it for the lulz.’ ”

—Trent Peacock. Search Engine: The face of Anonymous, February 7, 2008.[19]

Definitions tend to emphasize the fact that the concept, and by extension the collective of users, cannot be readily encompassed by a simple definition. Instead it is often defined by aphorisms describing perceived qualities.[4] One self-description, originating from a protest video targeted at the Church of Scientology, is:

We are Anonymous. We are Legion. We do not forgive. We do not forget. Expect us.[20]

Iconography and aesthetics

As a cyberculture, Anonymous aesthetics are based in various forms of shock humor, including genres of cringe, surreal, and black comedy. Many people affiliated with Anonymous associate with the Guy Fawkes mask, either at protests, or within images spread online.[19] O

Your Questions About Internet Marketing

David asks…

i want to learn internet marketing ?

i want to get training of internet marketing but free of cost online training can some one help me?i have no idea about that…

barry0912 answers:

Kindercold had some great advice. Beware though that with the Burn Marketing Method they do try to get you to buy into their monthly subscription.

There are some good sites out there with great information for sale. The trick is that you have to put in the work and time to make internet marketing work. I believe most people spend the money for these “systems” but, after reading all of the material and trying a couple of things, they stop and give up when they don’t get rich right away. It doesn’t work that way.

I belong to a membership site that has taught me a lot and given me some great tools. It has earned me a nice supplement to my normal income. I didn’t need to pay for the information, but it made the process of making money online so much faster then if I did all the research and trial and error on my own.

Having said that, there is a ton of information out there and it all just confuses most of us. What happens when you get a lot of varying info from different sources is “paralysis by analysis”. In other words you don’t do anything because you don’t know where to start. There’s just too much information.

I suggest that you go to the library and check out a book or two on internet marketing. Or go to the bookstore, buy a latte and read away. One of my favorite books is Moonlighting on the Internet by Yanik Silver. It gives a good overview of some different internet marketing avenues.

Good Luck

Mary asks…

Vietnam websites about internet marketing?

I need to find some Vietnamese websites that deal with internet marketing, e-mail marketing, or simply community-based websites concerning Vietnam. Can anyone help me out? Thanks.
Thanks for the info on how wired Vietnam is… apparently not that much. Too bad you couldn’t provide me with some websites…. 🙁

barry0912 answers:

I do Web promotions in the U.S. And I’m currently in Hanoi, Vietnam for my wedding and to spend some time with my new wife.

Vietnam’s Internet infrastructure is very new, and traditional online marketing techniques used in the states may not be as effective here. Most of the Viet households don’t have computers and most of the Internet usage is done at Internet cafes. Therefore, search engines and online ads don’t penetrate the population as deeply as in the U.S.

On the other hand, most everyone here has an E-mail address. That in mind, E-mail marketing could be a very powerful online promotion tool as it is in the U.S.

Your Questions About Internet Marketing Blog

Nancy asks…

Best Free Advertising for internet marketing?

What are the best free ways to market a website? I have done Facebook ads, Adwords, and Google Base.

But what are some other ways to get a website traffic, and increase revenue?

Thanks in advance!

barry0912 answers:

You can try a free traffic Exchange service like TrafficSwarm at http://www.trafficswarm.com/go.cgi?56268…
Or WebCentreSurf at http://webcentresurf.com/?27972
You can try article marketing at an article submission service like http://www.ezinearticles.com and link back to your website in the resource box for your articles.
You can also comment on popular blogs like John Chow’s or Joel Comm’s that allow linkbacks to your URL. Do a Yahoo Search.
Create a video and upload it to YouTube with your URL flashed on the screen. All of these are free.

Paul asks…

Internet Marketing general guides?

I need some general help and guides about Internet Marketing and Online Business
anybody can help ?!

barry0912 answers:

There’s a lot of free information on the various marketing forums like ewealth, warriorforum, wickedefire (add .com)

Some marketing gurus have a generous amount of free information on their blogs, try googling internet marketing, affiliate marketing.

It’s a big field, asking a more specific question might help focus your direction.

Most people who venture into internet marketing fail, often dropping a plan just as it was about to pay off, marketing with paid advertising requires a lot of fine tuning, testing and more testing in order to see a profit.

If you were a successful brick and mortar business I would suggest looking into stompernet a training facility with a vast library of internet marketing information, (and some decent freebies) once priced at $800/mo, I think membership is now $197, still only cost effective for a serious operator needing to get up to speed quickly.

Your Questions About Internet Marketing Jobs

Steven asks…

Any real jobs out there my dad can do from home on Google or Yahoo?

I see these kind of jobs advertised sometimes but they seem bogus? He’s okay at home but doesn’t get around much anymore. Still sharp and etc. Needs extra cash.

barry0912 answers:

Perhaps the majority of money making offers on the internet are scams of some sort. Most people who try to make money on the internet fail, the worst may be the surveys, paid to click, shopping rewards thing that I doubt anyone can make a living from. That one fake new blog showing the mom making some $10k part time, used to say posting links for Google before they sued 50 such sites.

If you can write you can find web site article writing freelance jobs that mostly pay $3 to $5 though a writer qualified to write for as an expert for major sites might get more like $10 – $75 per 500 word article.

Someone with unique knowledge might be able to write a blog that eventually, it really has to be an exceptional site with regular new additions to get search engine ranking and enough visitors to earn a bit of advertising revenue. One can start with a free blog host like Blogger.com

A small percentage of people who try affiliate marketing actually succeed, some do quite well, having web development knowledge, sales experience and good management skills would have a better chance.
Many Internet Marketing rookies hang out at Warriorforum.com member written WSO tutorials sell for relatively little money.

I am always suggesting the one looks into freelance marketplace sites as a way to earn money more immediately, these include freelancer.com and odesk.com, while more geared for technicians, you also can find writing projects and simple seo tasks, while there is worldwide competition, a native English writer has a big advantage. One of the easiest to get into is freelancer.com it’s also prone to having lower paying projects and wild west lawlessness, older established sites like elance or vWorker have tighter standards and may have membership fees to keep out the riffraff.

There are also micro task sites that pay small change for a few minutes work, popular with 3rd world countries, some in the U.S. Do them instead of crossword puzzles, the original was created by Amazon, the online store to ‘automate’ tasks a computer couldn’t do, like pick the better of 2 pictures, they named mturk.com after the 18th century Mechanical Turk chess playing machine that had a man hidden inside, shortTask and microworkers have similar micro tasks, some individual jobs are a bit shady, like signing up for product trials, doing surveys, but you get to choose which tasks to perform.
