Your Questions About Internet Marketing Degree

Laura asks…

What is the MSN/MPH degree?

What kind of jobs can you get? I am having trouble finding out what the degree means and the job market for it.

barry0912 answers:

The MSN/MPH is a dual degree. The MSN stands for Master’s of Science in Nursing. The MPH stands for Master’s of Public Health. The job market is wide open for any degree in the medical field. The Master’s of Science in Nursing allows you to teach nursing, practice, management, or any job in nursing. The MPH degree focuses on public health and involves jobs such as the public health department and epidemiology such as agencies like the Center’s for Disease Control (Atlanta, GA). Do an internet search on just Nursing employment and you will see all the opportunities available. Public health just happens to be one small part of health care. Good Luck!

Daniel asks…

What degrees would you need for these jobs (10 points!)?

front end development
digital marketing
content development / online copywriting

barry0912 answers:

If this field is something you want to do, you should probably look at doing a business degree with a concentration in Information Systems. That will give you the IT knowledge with the business background that is relevant such as marketing. I’m qualified to do this job.

Before you enroll with this particular school you need to look at the reviews, pick a school that is accredited from a reputable source. Many schools you see on the internet are scams and since school is expensive you don’t want to come out and not be competitive in your field.

Your Questions About Internet Marketing Company

Linda asks…

How do I make my web design and internet marketing company succeed?

After designing websites for a few companies, I decided to start a small business designing websites that focus on start-ups and small businesses. While we master internet marketing, we are unfamiliar in the offline market. Should we focus on any offline marketing now-a-days or stick to online marketing. Also, is $299 for a standard website including free SEO and internet marketing a viable price point, or am I undercutting our value?

http://www.upstatewebinnovation.com

Thanks!!

barry0912 answers:

Basic Package for $299 is fair price for online customers. If I were a beginner who want to start website and don’t know much about web tech, I will not want to pay more than $300 for testing. Your company also have higher package, so price is not a problem in my point of view. But I think you cannot offer with same price for offline users as It will need extra expenses. So, stick to online marketing first then expend to offline.

Hi,
I think affliate marketing is not so easy, but if you i think you can try this following first.

“Making Money Online is Easy Right? It Can Be if You Know What You’re Doing”

TheWealthyPages.com will teach you how to earn money online, and best of all, it’s free. We’ve reviewed all of the top “making money” programs online and have created this site to help you determine which products and services will actually help you make money online!

Lesson #1: How Does Someone Make Money Online?

There are many ways to make money online, but the most common, and most lucrative way to make money online is to sell products for companies willing to share the profits with you. The process of marketing to people online is called “Internet Marketing” and it is a multi billion dollar industry. Hundreds of thousands of people, just like yourself, are making money online everyday by partnering with companies who pay commissions based on sales that you help generate.

This sounds difficult but it’s not because these companies have “Affiliate Programs” setup for their partners (Affiliates). You can partner with thousands of companies online and start selling their products in literally minutes. So how do you start selling a companies products as an Affiliate? Simple, all you need to do is send visitors to their websites. This sounds simple, and it is, but finding the right kind of traffic and enough of it is more difficult. Websites like WealthyAffiliate.com teach people techniques to drive traffic to Affiliate sites and earn HUGE dollars online. Making $500 a day online is quite normal and you can get started very quickly if you know the right techniques.

Lesson #2: What If I have No Experience?

The most common misconception about Internet Marketing is that only people with good computer knowledge and marketing skills can take part. This is NOT the case.

* You DO NOT NEED a website
* You DO NOT NEED your own product
* You DO NOT NEED any previous experience (none)

What you will need is a guide to help you learn how to get started. The top marketing website online is called the Wealthy Affiliate University, and for a few dollars a month you can learn from the pro’s and work with thousands of other aspiring Internet Marketers.

Lesson #3: Be careful who you choose to learn from

Everyone has heard of being “Scammed” on the Internet, and although this is only somewhat true, many people have learned about making money online from companies who do not have good reputations in the Internet Marketing world.

There are many companies out there that offer good techniques and strategies but with little support or coaching. A program like the Wealthy Affiliate University offers both great techniques and support. If you are just getting started with Internet Marketing, support is one of the first things that you need to look for when choosing a guide. Also, steer clear from anything that offers you “Overnight” success, or “Get Rich Quick” programs.

There is no such thing as “Getting Rich Quick” on the Internet. It doesn’t matter what you hear, you will never make money on the Internet overnight. Internet Marketing is a real business and it takes time to grow your business to a point where you are earning $500 / day. If you are dedicated to learning the correct techniques and are willing to put in the work, you WILL achieve your goals of making big money online.

Your Questions About Internet Marketing Strategies

Donna asks…

Marketing Timeline?

Could some of you internet business owners tell me how you started your business, your marketing timeline? What did you do first and then after you got started. Press release? Media? SEO work?

barry0912 answers:

Marketing is a continuous everyday work. You do everything simultaneously because there is no single way where you can get traffic so you need to make sure that every possible source of traffic is reached

My suggested timeline is:

BEFORE LAUNCHING THE WEBSITE

– Do an extensive keyword research analysis. SEOBook.com has a very good listing of free tools http://tools.seobook.com/ that you can use to research the keywords for your site including: keyword density, determining the keywords you want to target, who are your competitors for your targeted keywords.

– Start mapping out your link strategy. You need to start making a list of who should link to you and where you can request for links.

– Start thinking of how you can get the word out about your business. Do you plan on writing articles? Will you harness viral marketing? Be sure to equip your site with tools Get a Recommend this Site script from websites such as cgiscripts.com and similar directories of scripts. Some even go as far as giving incentives to those who recommend the site to their friends. If only 10 people go to your site, but these 10 people invite 10 more – that’s additional traffic that you get for FREE!

Recommend Site Scripts (various) http://php.resourceindex.com/Complete_Scripts/Website_Promotion/Recommend_Site/
Big Nose Bird Recommend this Site http://bignosebird.com/carchive/birdcast.shtml
CGI Resource Index http://cgi.resourceindex.com/Programs_and_Scripts/Perl/Website_Promotion/Recommend_Site/
Hostscripts http://www.hotscripts.com/PHP/Scripts_and_Programs/Site_Recommendation/index.html

– Beta test your site and start inviting people (if applicable). If you are planning a social networking site for example, you can do a soft-launch for your site and invite people you know or friends of your friends to try out the site. This way you can iron out the kinks before you do your full blast marketing

UPON LAUNCHING

– Make sure your on-page factors (e.g. Title, metatags, keyword densities) are right on-target

– Issue a press release announcing the launch of your new site. Press releases are also a way to get inbound one-way links to your website. Here are some places where you can submit your press release for free

– Submit your site to the major search engines. If you are going to read only one piece on search engine optimization, I suggest you read Brett Tabke of WebmasterWorld.com’s “Successful Site in 12 Months with Google Alone: 26 steps to 15k a day.” http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum3/2010.htm

SEO for MSN http://www.powerhomebiz.com/052006/msn.htm
Tying It Together: SEO For The Big Three http://www.powerhomebiz.com/052006/seo.htm

– Start submitting requests for links. You will find that some will not link to you because you have 0 pagerank because your site is new. But start submitting to DMOZ and other directories and build your pagerank

– Do offline marketing. Whether you are planning to print brochures or do direct marketing, now is also the time to do them

AFTER YOU LAUNCH

– Try to do marketing at least 1 hour every day – whether asking for reciprocal links, submitting articles or submitting your site to directories

– Keep abreast of what’s happening with the search engines.

– Do email marketing or send a newsletter on a regular basis

Robert asks…

Piano Store Marketing Strategy?

I have invested in a Piano Store recently and was wondering what would be the best means of communicating with my target customer i.e. younger parents with kids in the range 5-10.

Does anybody have any experience with creating a Marketing Plan or Strategy for a Piano Store?

If I was to tie-in with a Brand or product; what would be the best options?

Any suggestions please?

barry0912 answers:

Although it predates the record album as an entertainment source, I guess your business has not entirely vanished yet, but it certainly has to be marketed differently than 20 years ago, I assume the manufacturers touch on traditional family values, as well as the decorative value of a traditional instrument.

One potential method to reach a small number of local prospects may be with paid Facebook advertisements, their demographic targeting is quite powerful, you can have ads only appear for married women between 25 and 40 who live in cities in close proximity to your location, there may be an “interest” like piano playing you may be able to target as well, they show you the potential reach of members a given ad setting would have, you could have such ads send people to a free Facebook business page.
While on the subject of internet resources you for sure need to have (and probably already do) a free Google Places page, they may provide a generic listing automatically, but you need to claim it and improve the content with more lengthy text, photos an potentially even video.

Sorry I m not more in touch with how kids are introduced to e piano these days, perhaps you can be a sponsor of some school events for the publicity and music evangelist opportunities, there are some cities (where the weather is friendly) that have old pianos in public places setup by some non profits.

Your Questions About Internet Marketing

William asks…

Why is Internet marketing so hard?

I have read so much stuff, OHHHHHHH it’s so EASY all you got to do is make a website, get advertising, content, products…get on ADSENSE…google…adwords…like that scene from the three stooges when they were drilling in the army…HARCH…to the rear HARCH…left shoulder HARCH…to the rear…HARCH …HARCH…harsh!!! MANNNNnnnnnn I have had it. I am pretty stubborn but I also know when I am licked.

barry0912 answers:

Internet marketing is simple, but not easy. My best advice is to look at what everyone else is doing. Really analyse what others do.

E.g. See an ad on a website you are visiting? There is a good chance that they are making money through displaying that ad. No need to reinvent the wheel, just reverse engineer and mix it up with your own twists….

Look up a product review article? Someone wrote that and are probably getting affiliate commissions for it. See a review on YouTube? Its all simple stuff, you just have to go ahead and do it. Learn as you go.

Be a pro at what you do, not a jack of all trades master of none. Don’t over complicate it, keep it simple and go. Humans have a tendency to make everything a lot more complicated than it needs to be, otherwise it is ‘too easy’. Mindset is a huge factor.

Good luck mate.

Donna asks…

please give me more information about internet marketing…?

barry0912 answers:

Internet Marketing covers a very broad spectrum.
Start with Search Engine marketing, there are several ways to go about this, from simple submission to professional optimization, to PPC campaigns.
Then there are email campaigns, need to be careful with these. Hiring a professional for this is a good idea.
Then you have link and banner trade programs. Some of which are very effective.
The list goes on.
These guys may be able to help you get started. They have a lot of experience, and the prices are fair.
