Your Questions About Internet Marketing Company

Nancy asks…

How would I go about setting up this type of business?

How would I set up an internet company where customers purchase “product x”(an image) and then it would be sent to their cell phone or mobile device? I’ve already checked out different sms solution companies as well as web site development companies such as monstercommerce.com. I just need to know if there any specific steps when it would come to a company like this.

barry0912 answers:

Since you’ve never been in business before, I would strongly recommend that you talk to a business counselor before you do anything especially spend money. I’d call the local office of SCORE (go to http://www.score.org and input your zip code to find the chapter nearest you), the advice is FREE.

The counselor at SCORE will most likely advise you to write a business plan which is very good advice because it will force you to dig out all of the start up details and the costs of starting an internet company and force you to also understand all of the aspects of this business including the customers you’ll concentrate on (your market ) and how you’ll go after them.

You’ll need to register the business with your state controller’s office and make sure that you have any city and county licenses if any are needed where you live. All of this will come out in a business plan.

Mandy asks…

What does the job market look like for the next few years?

Any knowledgeable individuals who can write proper english on the Internet, would you please help me out. I’m currently about to graduate highschool in the year of 2010, and I was wondering if any of you know what the job market will look like for the next few years. My parents are off somewhere today, so I really have nobody to ask and searching is really unsatisfying.

barry0912 answers:

The job market will keep going down into the dumper. Part of the problem, which NOBODY in the Obama Administration wants to acknowledge, is the massive influx of illegal Mexicans streaming into our country. They are willing to work for almost nothing, and so they are stealing millions upon millions of jobs from legal American citizens. This will have a huge impact on the job market, since by the Administration failing to seriously enforce existing immigration laws, we are, in a very real sense, exporting a big chunk of our job market to illegal Mexicans.

You can plan on being out of work for a very long time, maybe years.

Thomas asks…

What are the five major types of marketing?

I was asked this on a job interview, and since I am an entry level candidate with no experience in marketing and advertising I was wondering what exactly they were looking for on this question.

Also, any tips on basic marketing and advertising information and stratagies would help. Thanks a bunch guys!

barry0912 answers:

There are numerous marketing methods which are prevalent in today’s economy, but five of them are dominating the world market as a whole; digital marketing, Internet marketing, affiliate marketing, multilevel marketing, and global marketing.

Digital Marketing:
Digital marketing or direct digital marketing, is a type of marketing in which a business uses purely electronic means to advertise their products and services. This type of marketing can be implemented through television, the internet, and even electronic billboards. Not only does this save a company in mailing costs, it also ensures that more people will be exposed to their products. Digital marketing has erupted from television commercials to the internet, then from the internet to phones and other portable digital devices such as the iPad, Kindle, etc.

Internet Marketing:
Like its relative digital marketing, Internet marketing uses electronic means to advertise to the public. Internet marketing employs email, banner ads, those annoying pop ups, etc. The internet is an ever-growing übermarket of seemingly limitless advertising space, and it continues to grow with evolving subsections of marketing such as affiliate marketing.

Affiliate Marketing :
Affiliate marketing is a type of marketing in which online advertisers and merchants share revenue with online salespeople or website owners through a compensation model that is based on certain performance measures such as Pay per Click, sales, registrations, or a model that combines any or all of these forms.

Multi-Level Marketing :
Multi-level marketing, or MLM, is a type of marketing in which consumer products are generally sold by individuals either in consumer’s homes or in a designated area of meeting. For instance, Avon, Tupperware, and Mary Kay are all forms of legitimate multi-level marketing. Multi-level marketers set their own hours and can earn money based on sales.

Global Marketing:
Global marketing is a form of marketing in which various international business allies form relationships and develop networks on a global scale. They work closely with one another’s home countries, their government officials, and the industry competitors in order to gain and develop a target market. In this type of advanced market, stakeholder benefits outweigh that of the company’s personal organizational objectives. In this case, stakeholders would be employees, the society in which a business is entering, the companies’ respective governments, etc.

Basic Marketing Strategies:
Inside the company’s marketing strategy is closely related to 3 main basic strengths including; Customer, Company /Corporation and Competition.A good marketing strategy includes three of the following:

1. A clear market definition.
2. A good collaboration between the company’s strengths and needs of the market.
3. Company performance is superior, active and responsive to various conditions of competition.

Basic Marketing Tips:
You are not what you sell
Set your goal
Don’t just stand there, show off
Keep them coming back
Grow. Change. Be better

Your Questions About Anonymous Mask

William asks…

How does the group “Anonymous” stay anonymous if they protest in groups?

It seems like it shouldn’t be hard to infiltrate an anonymous mask-wearing group. Are these just naive college kids in over their heads, is the “Church of Scientology” not as dangerous as claimed, or is there something I am missing?

barry0912 answers:

Scientology HAS tried to infiltrate the Anonymous protests. There are discussion threads dedicated to this kind of Scientology tactic at the Anonymous message boards on enturbulation.org.

Anonymous is not an “organization” as such things are generally understood. It has no structure, no hierarchy, no central leadership. It’s a collection of concerned individuals from all walks of life and from around the world who have come together to protest against the crimes perpetrated by the Church of Scientology.

The CoS certainly IS as dangerous as claimed. There are multitudes of people who have suffered tragic experiences during their involvement with Scientology. Read about them here:

Here are more “bad experiences” with the cult including an illegal plot to infiltrate the government, brainwashing techniques, mind control camps, attacks on critics, and DEATHS caused by Scientology doctrine and members:

● Operation Snow White – Under this official program, Scientology operatives committed infiltration, wiretapping, & theft of documents in government offices. This program constituted the single largest infiltration of the United States government in history. Among the 11 prominent Scientologists convicted of this conspiracy was Mary Sue Hubbard, the wife of Scientology’s “prophet”.

● Operation Freakout – Their campaign of sabotage & violence against Paulette Cooper, the writer who published her research & findings on several cults, including Scientology. Scientology’s official plan: to frame Paulette, ruin her career & reputation & get her either incarcerated or locked up in psychiatric confinement.

● Fair Game – the Scientology policy detailing how the organization may confront & handle critics & perceived enemies. Here is a direct quote: “Enemies may be deprived of property or injured by any means by any Scientologist without any discipline of the Scientologist. May be tricked, sued or lied to or destroyed.” Though they claim this policy is no longer in effect, Scientology still goes to great lengths to bully all known critics, opponents, “enemies”, etc, often through malicious litigation & character assassination, even going so far as to falsely accuse them of crimes.

● Physical & psychological punishment – Scientologists who “break the rules” while members of the “Sea Org” must subject themselves to the Rehabilitation Project Force (RPF), which includes regimes of harsh physical punishment, forced self-confessions, social isolation, hard labor and intensive ideological indoctrination.

● Brainwashing & mind control – Scientology exerts control over its members by means of typical cult tactics, including but not limited to controlling information about internal doctrine & criticism of the organization, severely restricting social contact outside the cult (including the practice of “disconnecting” from family, friends & ex-members who question the credibility & trustworthiness of the cult & are therefore considered “suppressive persons” by Scientology), creating an “us against them” mentality by villainizing a specific out-group (for Scientology, it’s psychiatrists), & claiming all those outside the cult are dangerously unenlightened.

● Tax Fraud – One of the only reasons they enjoy “tax exempt status” on religious ground in the United States is because they bullied the IRS into a “deal” through extremely aggressive barratry (which is the offense of persistently instigating groundless lawsuits) against said government agency and its officials, and arranged to drop all 2,500 frivolous lawsuits only when an “agreement” was reached. In addition, Scientology’s lawyers hired private investigators to dig up any “dirt” on IRS agents which was then used to blackmail or publicly smear all “vulnerable” agents.

● Violent Kidnapping – Lisa McPherson was a Scientologist, was involved in a car accident & resultantly became mentally unstable. She was kidnapped from the hospital by agents of Scientology, held against her will, refused proper psychiatric treatment & allowed to STARVE TO DEATH.

● Tragic Murder – A CBS “48 Hours” special on Jeremy Perkins, the mentally disturbed son of Scientologist parents who, because of the Scientology doctrine of opposing psychiatry, refused to put him on the anti-psychotic drugs that would have stabilized him & prevented him from killing his own mother.

James asks…

Does using a Guy Fawkes mask as your avatar indicate homosexual leanings?

If a person uses a Guy Fawkes mask as an avatar, calls herself “Anonymous,” and asks a lot of gay troll questions, does that mean she is gay, or is she just a confused bi-sexual?

barry0912 answers:

There is no certainty in assuming she is either. She could also be a heterosexual into BDSM or latex, or she could be just a regular zoophiliac. Using a Guy Fawkes mask in any manner at all does not denote any specific sexual behavior.
Wearing black clothes does not mean you belong to the Addams family, does it now?

Your Questions About Internet Marketing Company

Susan asks…

How do I track down my clients with only a name and postcode?

It is only in the last couple of years that I have understood the power of internet marketing. Prior to that I did not even grasped the importance of keeping a list. Basically, I would like to track my previous customers through the courier company I have used over the years (Parcel Force). Unfortunately Parcel Force only show their names and postal code. How can I complete the address (ie their house number)? Thanks for your help.

barry0912 answers:

Look them up in the phone book (online) and hope that their name + postal code is enough to find most of them. (Postal code will narrow them down to an area within a city)

Helen asks…

Fear of the market; should a person avoid starting an online business when the economy is down?

I want to start an internet company offering speciality products that help people and relate to the travel industry. I get told that i’m crazy- that the economy is bad, nobody is buying anything, and travel is a joke.

barry0912 answers:

While the economy is definitely in a cycle that isn’t wonderful right now…don’t let anyone tell you there is ‘no’ business going on.

The travel industry is notable a lucrative one as people with money still travel…maybe not as often, but they do.

In this market, consider what is your USP (unique selling position) so that you can structure your product/service offering to have the greatest impact.

Also it’d be well advised to decide who your target audience will be, their demographics, etc. A great read if you’re going after those that still have cash to spend is a book by Dan Kennedy called “No B.S. Marketing To The Affluent”… It’ll give you a fresh insight into a vary interesting segment of the market and what they’re looking for and how to position yourself to sell to that audience.

After you’ve done your research, decided what your USP is going to be, get that domain online and start to marketing. Get those leads online and take them offline as quickly as possible (eg; SEO to your website…then get those customers on the phone or with something in their mailbox where it’s not as noisy as their email inbox).

Hope this helps.
