Your Questions About Internet Marketing Services

Internet/Affliate marketing?

Hi I am new to affliate/internet marketing. Can somebody please give me information from where should I start?right from basic, practical but not much therotical………..

barry0912 answers:

Hi,Affiliate marketing can be anywhere from promoting someone elses software, ebook, product, or service. You can get in free or have to pay a fee. Normally if you paid an affiliate fee, you got into a home based business. Since you do not know where to start, I would presume you are doing something free where there is no real training.

The first thing most affiliate marketers do is copy and paste the hype that got them in and then go out and spam their new affiliate link everywhere they can, be it forums, groups, here on answers, social networks, etc. This doesn’t work and more importantly, it can get you banned, dependent on where you are posting. People do this because no one above them takes the time to work with them to help them become successful.

I am sure you are excited about the possibility of making some additional income, however, I would start with education personally. I would ask that you take a time out before getting started and do a bit of reading. And I say that because I DIDN’T and failed miserably. Before I knew it I was in half a dozen affiliate programs and still not making anything.

This is what I would suggest, I wrote a blog about advice for working from home. You can find a link in the 2nd paragraph of my profile here on answers.

I don’t know what your expectations are, whether it is to make a couple of bucks, a couple of hundred bucks or get into the thousands. If it’s in the thousands, then also download the free ebook listed at the bottom of my profile…. And please at least put in a real email address so that you can be notified of free upcoming generic trainings.

I am part of a free generic mentoring group and until I got in, I failed horribly because there was no upline support. But luckily I found this unique International group, started listening to some of the training and turned my failure around to success.

Anyone can be successful if they have the right tools and training. Someone once said, “you don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.’ Well, you have taken the first step by joining something and asking questions. If you want to be a professional marketer, then the next steps are up to you.
~best wishes

Anonymous love letter or start a conversation?

Theres a really cute guy that i like. I either want to try to talk to him by starting casual conversations. But i might want to send him a anonymous love letter. Which one should i do, or should i do both?

barry0912 answers:

Casual conversation. Anonymous love letters can scare them off. And anonymous means he won’t know who it is, and it just gets messy. Start off casual and hopefully he’ll like you back. (:

Your Questions About Internet Marketing Forum

Susan asks…

I have started working for an amazing MLM company, Ambit. What are some good places and ways I can market it?

over the internet? We offer gas & electric to select markets with huge income potential & I want ideas on how to get the word out on the web.

barry0912 answers:

One great way would be to build a website. There are some things that will be important to learn. One being internet mastery. The Internet can be an explosive tool. It’s incredible, but just like any other tool you must know how to properly use it. Having a website just isn’t enough these days. You need to know what to have on it, where to position it, and how to tap into the mind of the visitor. What is it that you have that others just have to have. I am not referring to the replicated website that the company offers. Most replicated sites do not get organic traffic from the search engines. You would end up paying to get traffic to your site and would have a terrible conversion rate. You can post your opportunity on free classifieds online. You can also spend time sharing your experience in forums as long as you fallow the terms and conditions.

Jenny asks…

What are the best places to post affiliate links?

So basically, im trying to promote someones product, i have no idea how to do this since im a complete newbie at affiliate marketing. Anyone got some FREE tips, and FREE info on where to place my affliate links?
Thanks 🙂

barry0912 answers:

Do you know who your target-audience is?

The more specific you are, the better. Define exactly what kind of person may be interested in the product/service you’re trying to promote. Think about it: what type of problem does the product/service solve? Who needs to solve (or avoid) such problems?

Then think about the places where you can find potential these customers, i. E., sites where these people gather: forums, groups, communities, blogs. Start visiting these places, share helpful information, make relevant comments (or ask appropriate questions) be nice, don’t be pushy, never spam anyone. Never ever break any rules.

Drop your aff. Link only when allowed, that is, in forum signatures (check the forum’s rules before), email signatures and blog comments (there’s usually a “website” field on comment forms).

Open an account at Twitter and fill in your bio with interesting information that shows you’re an actual human being, not with a sales pitch. And start adding/following other users. But never add too many people at once, otherwise you’ll be flagged as spammer. Don’t advertise anything at first (use the URL field for this); just be nice, answer questions, share cool links and useful bits of information.

For finding Twitter members that you may want to follow and conversations you may want to take part in, use and/or

After some weeks building your Twitter network and showing that you’re a nice person, you can start mentioning your aff. Link from time to time.

Start a blog (you can even use a free service like Blogspot/Blogger) about topics related to your target-audience’s interests and to the problems that can be solved by the product/service you’re promoting.

Be very specific; don’t try to write about too many subjects. This can never be stressed enough: your blog posts should deal only with topics that are relevant to your readers and related to your aff. Program.

Never copy content from other places; use your own knowledge, experience and ideas to write your own blog posts. When in doubt, use Google, Yahoo! And Wikipedia to research the topics you need to write about.

These things may help you achieve better results. No, I’m not promising you’ll get rich. I can’t even promise you’ll succeed in any way. I’m just offering some ideas that you may want to consider and that are known to work for many people. They can work for you too.

A friendly warning: since you seem to be a beginner, I advise you not to buy anything from anyone at this point. Use the blogs listed above to educate yourself for free; they all contain useful content. When you’re more experienced, you’ll be better equipped to make informed decisions should you invest in books or courses.

The reason why I say this is that many marketers, seeing that you are inexperienced, will try to sell you eBooks, courses, mentoring, webinars, CDs and whatnot. Most of those are useless.

Yes, there are good products out there. But right now you can’t tell the difference between the gems and the garbage available in the Internet marketing industry. So, be careful and don’t trust people too easily.

One more thing: don’t spend too much time overanalysing anything. Learn what you can and apply the lessons right away. You will make mistakes. Learn with them and move on. Sometimes, all we need is to study less and act more.

Good luck!

Your Questions About Internet Marketing Strategies

Donna asks…

Marketing Timeline?

Could some of you internet business owners tell me how you started your business, your marketing timeline? What did you do first and then after you got started. Press release? Media? SEO work?

barry0912 answers:

Marketing is a continuous everyday work. You do everything simultaneously because there is no single way where you can get traffic so you need to make sure that every possible source of traffic is reached

My suggested timeline is:

– Do an extensive keyword research analysis. has a very good listing of free tools that you can use to research the keywords for your site including: keyword density, determining the keywords you want to target, who are your competitors for your targeted keywords.

– Start mapping out your link strategy. You need to start making a list of who should link to you and where you can request for links.

– Start thinking of how you can get the word out about your business. Do you plan on writing articles? Will you harness viral marketing? Be sure to equip your site with tools Get a Recommend this Site script from websites such as and similar directories of scripts. Some even go as far as giving incentives to those who recommend the site to their friends. If only 10 people go to your site, but these 10 people invite 10 more – that’s additional traffic that you get for FREE!

Recommend Site Scripts (various)
Big Nose Bird Recommend this Site
CGI Resource Index

– Beta test your site and start inviting people (if applicable). If you are planning a social networking site for example, you can do a soft-launch for your site and invite people you know or friends of your friends to try out the site. This way you can iron out the kinks before you do your full blast marketing

– Make sure your on-page factors (e.g. Title, metatags, keyword densities) are right on-target

– Issue a press release announcing the launch of your new site. Press releases are also a way to get inbound one-way links to your website. Here are some places where you can submit your press release for free

– Submit your site to the major search engines. If you are going to read only one piece on search engine optimization, I suggest you read Brett Tabke of’s “Successful Site in 12 Months with Google Alone: 26 steps to 15k a day.”

Tying It Together: SEO For The Big Three

– Start submitting requests for links. You will find that some will not link to you because you have 0 pagerank because your site is new. But start submitting to DMOZ and other directories and build your pagerank

– Do offline marketing. Whether you are planning to print brochures or do direct marketing, now is also the time to do them

– Try to do marketing at least 1 hour every day – whether asking for reciprocal links, submitting articles or submitting your site to directories

– Keep abreast of what’s happening with the search engines.

– Do email marketing or send a newsletter on a regular basis

Robert asks…

Piano Store Marketing Strategy?

I have invested in a Piano Store recently and was wondering what would be the best means of communicating with my target customer i.e. younger parents with kids in the range 5-10.

Does anybody have any experience with creating a Marketing Plan or Strategy for a Piano Store?

If I was to tie-in with a Brand or product; what would be the best options?

Any suggestions please?

barry0912 answers:

Although it predates the record album as an entertainment source, I guess your business has not entirely vanished yet, but it certainly has to be marketed differently than 20 years ago, I assume the manufacturers touch on traditional family values, as well as the decorative value of a traditional instrument.

One potential method to reach a small number of local prospects may be with paid Facebook advertisements, their demographic targeting is quite powerful, you can have ads only appear for married women between 25 and 40 who live in cities in close proximity to your location, there may be an “interest” like piano playing you may be able to target as well, they show you the potential reach of members a given ad setting would have, you could have such ads send people to a free Facebook business page.
While on the subject of internet resources you for sure need to have (and probably already do) a free Google Places page, they may provide a generic listing automatically, but you need to claim it and improve the content with more lengthy text, photos an potentially even video.

Sorry I m not more in touch with how kids are introduced to e piano these days, perhaps you can be a sponsor of some school events for the publicity and music evangelist opportunities, there are some cities (where the weather is friendly) that have old pianos in public places setup by some non profits.
