Your Questions About Internet Marketing Degree

Charles asks…

What are my chances of getting a job in the marketing industry after getting my assosiactes degree?

I want to know how easy/hard it is to obtain a career in the marketing/advertising industry.

barry0912 answers:

Right now, in this economy, you would be lucky to get an entry level position in a low level company.

Actually, you would be lucky to get any job!!! And that is no joke!!!

However, you would probably be able to get a position as a telemarketer, but, you really don’t need an associates degree for this job. The fact that you have or will soon get your associates degree does put you in an advantage over those who do not. An employer will tend to give a job to the candidate with the highest level of education, all other factors being equal.

If you are interested in finding out more about “network marketing”, you can find out alot of information online. One nice thing about network marketing is that you can have a successful career with an associates degree, or you can have a successful career with no degree at all. You would have a distinct advantage over the non-degreed marketer, as you have a lot more knowledge at your fingertips. You will most likely have better writing and speaking skills than someone with just a HS diploma, a GED or equivilancy diploma, or no dipolma at all.

The difference between a network marketer and a telemarketer is that you won’t have to annoy people at dinner time! As a matter of fact, you won’t have to annoy anyone at anytime, if you do network marketing right!

Is Network Marketing a Get Rich Quick Scheme??? Definately not, and anyone who tells you so is not being honest with you.
So, if continuing you education is not an option at this time, then send out your resume. If you have any type of experiance, a lot of employers will also take that into consideration.

If you are interested in finding out how to break into the network marketing arena, please check out my website, www.top-network-marketing-companies.org

I am not going to SELL you on my NWM or MLM company, don’t worry about that. What my website is about is helping you to find the “right” network marketing opportunity for “you” and how to develop that opportinity into a successful career. One requirement is access to a computer with high speed internet access. The good news is that most school libraries give you unlimited access at the library!!!

Hope this helps! Good luck in your search! Hope to hear from you!

Helen asks…

What can you do with a degree in graphic design?

What can you do with a degree in graphic design?

barry0912 answers:

All of the above are true. You have a huge range of career opportunities! Website design is HOT, then there is print design (ad firms, magazines, marketing firms, hospitals — yup, they need their annual reports and marketing work designed, post-secondary schools — with the right degree, and I could go on and on . . . ) You need a specialized degree in gaming design (If you don’t have a degree yet, check out SCAD — Savannah College of Art and Design.)

Everything you get in the mail, all the ads and layout you see in magazines and books . . . All the greeting cards you get in the mail . . . All the internet pages . . . They needed to be designed by someone — usually with a graphic design background.

And don’t forget freelance. There are a number of websites (I used Elance.com) that will hook you up with potential clients.

Does it pay well? Depends on your clients and how much experience you have, and how quickly and thoroughly you can get the job done. There are some jobs that I do, and only get paid about $12.00 an hour because it wasn’t as “easy” as I thought it would be. Some jobs I do, I get paid $100.00 per hour! More likely, I average about $25.00 to $45.00 an hour freelance.

I tend to agree with one of the past answerers — you should get another expertise or even a higher degree (Master’s). It’s not only helpful to YOU, it looks great on a resume. Photography, Illustration, etc. Goes well with design. I have my Master’s in Media Studies, which has brought me much success in getting both freelance and full-time work.

Much success to you!! It’s a great field, ever expanding, and you can WORK FROM HOME if you’re lucky and find the right job!

where can i find a top notch sales manager with internet marketing experience?

My firm, Endai Worldwide is looking for a sales manager, with online marketing knowledge and experience. I am interested and open to any new ideas and thoughts on where to find this person.

barry0912 answers:

There are several options. If you, yourself or anyone on your team have the time and penchant to conduct the search, then make a list of companies that provide similar services to yours – ideally based in your geographical area, if you want the Manager based there (if not, it is a lesser concern). Identify, approach and recruit the people who drive the business to the funnel of those companies….etc. And there is alot of etcetera.

A suggestion would be to partner with an executive search firm, and have them conduct the search for you in a prioritized manor. Hobson Associates has one of the best reputations for your niche.

Joseph asks…

How can I generate leads/sign ups to my domain?

I’m having a very hard time trying to find people who would be interested in joining my downline. It could be either because they’re selfish (because they’re internet marketers who won’t help struggling ones), or chicken birds (the ones who are scared), or the leads are too expensive.

I’m currently enrolled with 7 Figure Marketing School and I’m having no luck.

Is there anybody who in internet marketing and can help out? Where could I generate automatic leads or sign-ups for my downline?

barry0912 answers:

Be careful when purchasing leads. These folks have not specifically asked you for information and you will also find that most of these leads are shared with others.

Your best results will always be with leads that you generate yourself.

It may take a bit of effort to setup your traffic and lead generation system … But it will certainly be worth it in the long run.

It is relatively easty to use social media like facebook, youtube, twitter and myspace to attract like minded people to you. Directing them to a blog is a great way to provide value to your prospect and introduce them to your business.

You can find quite a few free resources that can teach you attraction marketing and lead generation techniques.

A free site that I direct my team to is at http://www.freedom-at-last.com

Good luck with your efforts. Let me know if I can be of service.

Your Questions About Internet Marketing Degree

Donald asks…

Online degrees, what is the criteria to find out if the degree is accepted at other colleges?

There are many online degree programs offered on the internet. How can I check if the online degree is accepted by the job market. A school teacher with a master’s degree in education had to pay back her salary increase because the degree wasn’t accepted by the Dept of Ed.

barry0912 answers:

Yes there are many but are they from accredited institutions? Need to be very careful about that since only those from such an institution will be nationally recognized. If it’s accredited I’d go for it. Check this website for the list of online degrees that are nationally accepted

Maria asks…

I have a decision to make. I am finishing an associates degree in business with University of Phoenix (online

(online), I have applied to University of Memphis to complete a Bachelor’s degree in international business or marketing. I am having second thoughts about my path now. Should I continue with a Bachelor’s in Information Technology or a more specific business fields? Shall I attend traditional campus or continue online? I have done it before, it’s great, but time consuming. For business traditional campus seems like a great idea. But if I continue with IT, then what better place to get the degree than online, where you are forced to deal with more software and the internet? The IT field is growing so fast and there are so many high paying jobs and new fields, but business has a proven success record with hard work. Hard work will, of course, always be necessary. But what field and end to a means is the most noteworthy and reasonable? Give me your opinion.

barry0912 answers:

Congrats on finishing your AA. IT is a great field to be in, you can always pick up an MBA down the road when you have some business experience.

I wouldn’t recommend UOP for the degree, even tho it is regionally accredited and will allow you to be licensed. A Memphis IT degree is best case. Online degrees are great for people who don’t have access to local school, the military, or working parents, but if you have access to Memphis, definitely go there.

If you are going on line, DeVry is the best option.

To correct Kalos, you do NOT want to go to Grantham, it is only nationally accredited, and not a good one at that.

Regardless of delivery method (on ground, online, hybrid), a higher ed institution in the US can have 3 institutional accreditation statuses.

1. Regionally accredited – the highest and most useful.
2. Nationally accredited – real, but not as recognized or useful. Yes it is less than regional accreditation, which isn’t intuitive.
3. Unaccredited
