One has a computer degree in database, the other in internet/web page design. They are unsure of what type of businesses use this type of degree. Any suggestions?
The degrees alone will not qualify them for very many jobs, but certainly will get their foot in the door at a company.
Database -> database administrator (DBA), access administrator, oracle administrator, oracle superuser, database developer, database trainer.
Companies use databases for holding customer records, accounting, digital assets, web site management. There are many industries you can enter. This is mainly an I.T. Dept job.
Web Design -> web designer, creative director, creative producer, content manager, web developer, GUI designer.
Web design can open up to many different opportunities. Internet and web sites are huge industries with many different facets. Web design can be in sales, marketing or I.T. Dept.
In 10 years, your children can be making nearly $100,000 per a year. Both are strong degrees.

I need help in starting a business on the internet. I know what I want to do, but I need a business plan with financials and I will need investors. I do not have any money as I am unemployed, but the business I am thinking of ties in directly with the information age and internet. Couple of things I want to share. The most common scenario to start a business is: out of work, lots of time and ideas at hand and bills coming in. This case has 2 types of exits: either get a job or establish a business.
But, to establish a business you need to invest money in it. Even though it’s an internet business, it still needs: website, products, social media marketing, search engine optimization etc etc.
So, I can suggest to become a freelancer until you get some seed money for your business.

Then, create a website (if you’re going to offer your own products / services as a business) or – sign up as an affiliate marketer and create all sorts of social media and social bookmarking accounts.

Full Sail University Internet Marketing?
I am thinking about applying to Full Sail for a bachelor degree in Internet Marketing, but dont know what I can do with an Internet Marketing degree. Can I use it for a mixture of internet and tradional marketing? Is their program any good? I want to work for myself, would love to do internet and traditional marketing, pr and advertising and consulting. Need helpful advice and insight
No. Stay away from Full Sail. The program is pure garbage and even the decent public universities that are AACSB accredited would look better than a for profit university like full sail. I dont think you get the education to do traditional marketing because full sail doesn’t put that into the course curriculum.
Dont go to Full Sail at all. You don’t learn quality stuff and you could lose hands down to graduates from business schools when you apply to jobs. A pile of trash is more valuable than a business degree from full of krap university. Not to mention, its way over priced for its true value.

You should be able to get Paypal to send you checks instead of direct deposit. Otherwise Paypal has its own debit card I think so you can use Interac or any ATM and withdraw straight from them, so far as I know, at least.
